It had better picture quality than my 5mp sony p-10. It was a capable camera especially for a 1mp camera. Problems: It had a quirk where a blue screen would pop up when I pushed the shutter button. It also ate batteries like crazy.

If you're just looking for a camera for pics of family and such, it's fine. But if you're a serious photographer....this isn't for you. Easy to use, simple point and shoot camera. Nicely constructed metal camera. Problems: The picture quality is poor, the lag time is a bit much, and it sure does eat up batteries. Images usually come out too dark, or overwhelmed by the flash. Personally I don't like this camera, the picture quality is too poor for my uses, but like I said, if you're just ...

3 Years I have owned this model and it really got me interested in digital photograpy. I found it very easy to use and have taken some good pictures. I use it for my family and have printed - copied - and e-mailed pictures regularly. I take it with me everywhere we go as a family and even my son who is 13 years old can operate it with confidence. I have lost count of the number of photos I have taken. Problems: Snap as with the other gentleman My battery holder is brittle and small pieces ...

I wanted to add a review to comment on a problem with the camera. My father and a friend of mine has this same camera. On both cameras the battery tray has broken so it will not stay in unless you either tape it or rubber band it together. I contacted Kodak on behalf of my father, and they want to charge us for a replacement battery tray. I wouldn't object, but since BOTH cameras broke in the exact same spot in two separate households, it seems like there is a defect here. I discussed ...

I bought this camera about 18 months ago while on holiday, and have since taken over 2000 photos with it. Overall construction quality is pretty solid, but let down by the flimsy battery compartment. If the camera is dropped and lands on the corner of the battery tray, there is a good chance that it will break the retaining clips. Other than that, it handles knocks and bumps remarkably well. Curiously, while most of the reviewers liked the slide-out battery tray, I though it was one of the ...

This was my first (and only so far) digital camera and I paid much more for it back in 2000, than you do for a 1MP camera today. It really does a fine job for beginners, and takes great images, up to 4 X6. I print my own on an Epson C60 and take them to a photo lab. both come out good Problems: Fortunately, no problems for what I want and do.

I got it at a decent price, used the heck out of it, but didn't abuse it. Battery tray is better than the flap, especially if it is getting used allot. Really disappointed in the image sharpness. Problems: I've gone thru NimH batteries. This thing drains batteries really fast when using the LCD screen on the back for lining up shots. Thus, making battery life in the macro mode very short. The images are not very sharp. I've gotten some really sharp images in the macro mode, but the depth of ...

This was my first DC, and I can say it is a good entry level camera. Indoor pictures have a lot to be desired, some come out very dark and of low quality. On a nice sunny day, outside, this camera takes some good pictures and the LCD screen on the back is very useful. Batterys didnt last long - this thing eats them! - always take some spares if away for some time. The software supplied was average, and works well on '98 and XP. The serial cable supplied is VERY slow to upload images, I ...
