The HTC One M8s is in many ways identical to the original One M8 but has been improved in a few key areas, including the camera. HTC has replaced the "Ultrapixel" sensor that had a 4MP pixel count with a more conventional 13MP sensor, but has kept the secondary camera for capturing depth information that allowed for the One M8's pretty unique Duo Cam features. As before the camera module comes with a fast F2 aperture and 28mm equivalent focal length but no optical image stabilization.
At the front there is a 5MP module with F2.8 aperture for video chats and selfie shooting. The system processor has also been updated and the M8s is now powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The bigger battery has a capacity of 2840 mAh.
Most other specifications remain the same though, including the all-metal design and 5-inch 1080p display.
