Greetings, first post on dpReview so please be gentle :-) I currently have a Fuji X-T30 with some wonderful primes (18 f2, 23 f2, 35f1.4) plus a few other lenses (zooms and manual macro). Really love the system, pictures are great, but recently I have started enjoying using longer zooms for some nature shots - birds and the like. That's when cost and weight factor heavily (pun intended) in which path to take. I see some "reasonably" priced MFT long zooms that are small and light, very...
Hi! I'm looking for some advice. I'm new to the forum and also a beginner in photography in general. I recently picked up a Viltrox 85mm 1.8 and it's great by all means and I love it - but I'm worried that something is wrong with my copy. I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Part of me thinks that this might be all normal - but I lack the experience to make that call (this is the third lens I own). When the lens changes aperture, I can clearly hear the aperture blades being moved around....

Hi everyone! I am a photography enthusiast, I mostly shoot street photography. I currently have a Nikon D3400, and I am planning to get a smaller mirrorless camera to get more "into the action" and closer to subjects without being noticed. So basically I am looking for silent but fast and capable camera body. I narrowed down my candidates to three Fuji cameras: the X-T20, the X-T30 and the X-H1. The X-T20 and the X-T30 have very similar features, yet the X-T20 is like 60% of the price of the...

Hello. So I've made the call to buy the Fujifilm X-T30. It seems like a very good camera to start with. Since I will still be learning photography, is it worth buying a prime lens as well? And if it is, which one should I go for from the Fuji line up? If I do go for prime, it would be one that works great for outdoor and city photography. Probably the Fujifilm XF 16mm F1.4 R WR or Fujifilm XF 23mm F1.4 R or another. Thank you. Kind regards, Sizwe

Hello everyone, This is my first post here, although I've been reading these forums thoroughly and truly appreciate the civility of the discussions and the willingness of posters to help each other out. I'm a modest enthusiast who enjoys photography as a hobby, I know I won't upgrade to super-photographer any time soon, but I enjoy taking pictures as not just "images", but as depictions of an experience in a specific moment (that parade in Little Italy, nightlife in Shibuya, a cute bookshop...

Hello, I am curious to know more about Fujifilm XT-30 Camera. Next month I will buy a camera for me and this is the toughest decision for me to select a worth camera for me as we all know that there are varieties of the camera in the market which are better than the previous one. Nowadays, I am checking and reading various articles related to the cameras so when I have to select the bestthe camera then there will be no confusion in my mind. I am checking an article related to the Fujifilm...
I'm interested in using the Mitakon Zhongyi speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 on APS-C for low light, high ISO event shots indoors, without flash. I do not own any Fuji gear yet and wondered how manual focus works with this lens. I was also looking into this lens with a Sony a6xxx body and was told that focus peaking by itself could be inaccurate and that magnification with an unchipped lens couldn't be invoked automatically so you also needed to assign a button to manually push each time to invoke...
