TLDR; Wonderful camera, great IQ, single-point AF is great - continuous not so much, BEAUTIFUL COLOURS, some pet peeves, 10/10 recommended. Let me just start out by saying I put like 6 MONTHS of research into trying to figure out which camera to buy, and I went from Olympus EM-10 ii -> D7100 -> X-T1 -> D7100 -> Z50 -> D7100 -> D700 -> A7ii -> X-T1, with lenses planned out for each camera. Maybe its just my personality and how I like to by VERY thorough before making a decision, but it was a ...

I love this camera, and the images look and feel more special than any other camera. I am slowly selling all my Oly equipment and moving completely to Fuji. I cannot define it, but the X-T1 images are sometimes better than the larger sensor X-T2 and X-T30 cameras I own.

Is there any reason to buy in 2019 a Fujifilm X-T1? Well, it depends on what you want to do with this nice gear. For my purposes this gear is quite perfect - and in addition it revives older lenses through an adapter. Despite things in the technical world of photography are measured by numbers, the usage of a gear like the X-T1 is always connected to emotional issues. Back in the Seventies I discovered photography. It was my father’s hobby. I was a kid, “borrowing” my father’s gear and taking ...

This is such a fantastic camera, even in 2019! I bought this camera in absolutely pristine condition for less than $300, which included a grip, extra battery, etc. I purchased it more just to "try it out" and see if I liked the form factor, to help me decide if I would like using the X-T3. Well, it didn't take me long to be really, really impressed with this camera. Sure, there is only one card slot, but... that's still surprisingly common. Just ask Canon and Nikon mirrorless what I'm talking ...

I really love this camera for its compactness and image quality, but I miss one thing really badly: snappy auto-focus like in my - sold - Nikon D300. After the release of firmware 4, I was hoping for a big leap forward, but, really, it didn't even get close to what I left behind (or what I was expecting instead). Single AF in good light is okay, continuous and tracking AF is so-so at best, and face detection is unreliable (even my Canon S100 compact does a better job). Long way to go for ...

After being a Nikon-photographer for over 35 years (F2A, FM, D300), i have switched fully to Fuji's X-system because of a) compactness, b) good optics and c) good sensor. I own the X-E1, X-T1, X-Pro1 and several prime lenses and zooms. The gear is mainly used professionally. I publish a trade magazine about retail and retail-real estate (shopping centers). I want to share my experiences with this Fuji equipment and these are my pro's and cons based on daily practice: Pro's: -Very good imaging ...

So lately I have been on an indecisive camera quest.  I have the Fuji XT10 (which I love sands the handling and speed), I picked up a Canon 6D Mark II thinking I would return to FF but I after sleeping on it decided to send it back.  I also picked up the Fuji XE3, which I hated and yesterday I decided on a whim to pick up an XT1 new body only for $599 from bhphoto.  Well I think I found my true love.  I have only spend 5 hours with the camera but it’s enough (and similar in some respects to ...

I've used X-T1 for a little over a year. I can say the image quality is sweet. JPG files are very nice and just by looking at the camera, you want to use and shoot with it all the time. My only complaint would be the EVF's refresh rate. It could be better. For weak eyes with history of astigmatism like mine, i feel a little dizzy after a whole day of shooting. I think they upgraded the refresh rate with the X-T2. I would still have it if not for the low refresh rate. looking forward to get ...

One of the best mirrorless but really not for shooting kids indoors.

I sold my dSLR (Pentax K-5) and got the Fuji X-E1 and later on the XT-1. There are minor differences in the image tones and colours between the the two, but nothing too dramatic. The XT-1 is very fast to focus and the overall operation is very quick. Image quality is the best I ever had from a digital camera . The manual control are well placed but some of them are not so comfortable to use. i also got the Fujinon XF 27mm F2.8 lens, and that my most used lens, make it more like X100. The Fuji ...
