Please regard this question as closed. I just found the answer myself. Unfortunately I cannot close the question myself, as this post is older than 5 minutes. Okay, therefore for whom it might be of interest.... Origianal question: >>>>>> Maybe a newbie question, but I just wondered why I should set the M-S-C dial to manual focus mode when using third party manual focus lenses? I had read several threads where the use of third party manual focus lens is described the following way: Quote:...

A little about me. I am an avid photographer who simply want to share a portion of my world through images and of course, looking forward to videos and beyond. Generally, my main interest is on everyday lives photography, food (macro), people, scenery. Eventually this means portrait, landscape and some architecture, I guess you could say general photography? I am fortunate enough to have my parents buy me a D7000 when I told them I wanted a camera. I am most grateful for that as I know it...
With the X-T2 and X-Pro2 24 Mpixel sensor now updating the X-T1 / X-Pro1 and a rumored X100t replacement, do you think it likely that Fujiflim may put the 24 Mpixel sensor in an X70 size body? lets call it a X80? Perhaps some other lens tweaks also. Or is the X70 a one off do you think?
Hi, I'm sorry if this has been asked and/or answered before. I've looked around over here but couldn't find any answers. Since I upgraded my X-t1 to 5.00, I can't get HSS to work with my Cactus V6 II and the RF60's. For sure it has to do with the camera's software (I can't seem to find forced flash in the flash menu anymore). I was wondering if there's a work around or something else I need to change. The whole setup works perfectly fine with my X-Pro1, so it has nothing to do with the...

It is common sense that one gains 1 f-stop in light when using a focal reducer like the Zhongyi Lens Turbo II or the Metabones Speedbooster with a full frame lens as compared to using the same lens with a normal adaptor. But compared to a full frame camera what would be the result? Otherwise stated, does one looses one 1 f-stop when using a "normal" adaptor with a full frame lens on an ASP-C sensor compared to using the same lens without an adaptor on a full frame camera? Following...

People are always talking about selling their stuff to get different stuff or to upgrade, I'm wondering if there are any sites I don't know about to do this. I have some Fuji lenses I might want to sell and an X-Pro1 & X-T1 I might want to sell to upgrade. Other than eBay, any suggestions? I know Amazon has a trade-in for credit, but it's not great, and places like B & H offer even less. Suggestions appreciated-- --Thanks,Michael
I've recently acquired an X-Pro 1 camera body, and is wondering if its still a excellent camera when compared to the recent entries. I'm currently using Canon 70D with mainly 10-18 and 50 STM, and i think the X-Pro 1 might "complement" very well with this set up if i throw in the XF 27 pancake? (For those who have previously used the X-Pro 1 and XF 27, would you recommend this combo and if there's a more recommended lens combination for the X-Pro 1? If i do decide to use the X-Pro 1, i would...
Hello, I was out with my kids yesterday and took some photos withy my x-Pro2. When I was reviewing the images at home I was shocked about the results with higher ISOs. The faces look very unnatural to me, something I never saw with my X-Pro1 or Canon 5DII. Is that what I have to expect from such an advanced camera? Or did I do something wrong? I truly cannot believe that this is what comes out of a 2016 camera. I truly loved the X-Pro1 and at first is was happy with the newer model,...
Hi guys, I"m a beginner photographer and I have been using the OMD EM10 for about a year. As for lenses, I used lots of them, the 12-50, 14-42, 25.8, 45.8. But I ended up with the 12-40 2.8 zoom as my only lens. I dont think it's too badly balanced on my EM10 with the grip on. So, the issue or me are two things. 1. I would like a little better background seperation. While I know the 45.8 is pretty good at that, I found it slightly too tight for everyday usage, and I would rather not switch...
