I'm using Olympus OMD and Panasonic Lumix at the same time for street photography, for a usual scene with people in foreground and buildings in background, multi point auto focus, OMD tends to blindly focus on background which has more colorful contrast compared to people in foreground, which is reasonable based on the algorithm of contrast detection auto focus, but Lumix tends to lock on the people in foreground. I saw reviews saying X-Pro2 improved AF a lot compared to X-Pro1, also there's...

Dear All. I have updated my X-Pro1 to the latest 3.70 firmware. I also updated my lenses to the latest firmware (18-55 f/2.8-4 to ver 3.21, xc50-230 (non available), 27 f/2.8 to ver. 1.11 and 35 f/1.4 to ver. 3.11). Since then it is having parallax correction problem when using optical mode. When framing with 18-55, It does not capture image within frame line rather it shifted the center point of the image to around 1/3 out to the left of the original frame line and missed the focus...
Hi guys, Friend of mine ask me to make photo of his techno crew for flyer. The band is with 4 members. They wants black and white photo with cinema cache. This is the spot, that I liked As an equipment I have Nikon D90 with 18-105 lens, tripod and Fuji Xpro1, which I use primarly for street shots. What guideline you can give me? What focal lenght should I select to have good look of the faces and to keep more space at the backround? - because the designer of the flyer should have space ( i...

Hi there, I didn't really think about buying the lc-xpro1 Fuji's own xpro1 leather case but I did - since it was really cheap. It's nice and I like it but it's hard to take it off everytime just to change the battery or take the sd card. Very bad design. Forgetting about buying one of those with the battery door cut already made, which I won't, has anyone been succesful in making a cut? I could even be happy-ish with a plain open cut but it would be of course nicer to find a way to open and...

A bit of background first - I have been taking photographs as a hobby since the 1950's and until recently shot Nikon (I bought my first Nikon an F Photomic in the later half of the 1960s). Back then my big things were "available light" (grain as big as golf balls!) and motor sport. Anyway a little time ago I was finding the Nikon outfit to big and heavy so switched to Fuji X-Pro1. This seemed a great move till last weekend. I sort of went back to my earlier days and shot a rock gig. This...
Hi When I have my X-Pro 1 set to full auto the camera tend to choose a big apperture like 1.4 or 1.8 using my XF 35 1.4R even in fairly good light (my only XF lens). Is that normal? It almost make the full auto mode useless for general purpose because of the thin dof (and lack of IQ wide open). Because of this I almost always use aperture selection which I would a lot of the time anyway, but it is just annoying that I can't trust the auto mode to choose a sensible aperture. Thanks, Mads
Hello I want to get compact camera for street. i have dslr, but it is too big and heavy for the purpose. So my budjet is 600 $. What I selected for now: I have an offer for used xpro1 - this is my prime choice, but still waiting for answer and I am not sure that the camera is in perfect condition. I have a good offer for Fujifilm x100s - as I see the lens is fixed and not sure, but the camera seems in perfect condition. Other idea is to buy new Olympus E-M10 with MFT 14-42 which is here on...
