The only external flash I have is the EFX8 that came with my X-T2. I wanted to check the hotshoe on my X-E2 but could not get the EFX8 to fire on the X-E2. The EFX8 fires every time on the X-T2. Verified that Sound & Flash is set to On and X-E2 flash mode is Forced. Pop-up flash fires every time but nothing with the EFX8. Does anybody know if this flash is compatible with the X-E2 or is there another setting on the X-E2 for external flash that I need to check? --Bill...
I have the Fuji hand grip on my X-E2, and I love it - never worried about it's sturdiness. I ordered the Fuji version for my X-E3 the other day, and just saw today that Meike is now selling their version for the X-E3 for about 1/2 the cost (shipping from China). But I don't want to worry about the quality of the Meike. Has anyone else used the Meike hand grip on thier Fuji's? And what did you think of the quality? Thanks
Hello All, Im very new to Fuji cameras and have used Sony Cameras almost exclusively for the last 2 years, So when I needed a second camera to shoot some portraits for a friend while my camera was being used for a student short film my friends and I are making I borrowed another friends X-E2. I absolutely fell in love with the pictures that was captured on the X-E2 so much that I really want to add a Fuji camera to my very amateur collection. After doing some research I was really stunned to...
At the beginning of last year, I was thinking of buying the Handevision IBERIT 24mm f2.4 and possibly the IBERIT 35mm f2.4 also to use with my Fuji X-E2. But I passed on them because the only real world review I could find was from Leica Rumors. Well, it's almost a year later, Kipon released SL mount versions of the IBERIT lenses to go along with the M-mount, Fuji X-mount, and Sony E-mount versions, plus I have a new Fuji X-T2. But, except for Leica Rumors, the only review is a couple of...
After realising that the xe2 doesn't have a live view button, I checked the manual but can't seem to find a shortcut. The only way to do this is to automatically shift between the EVF and LCD, but I don't like that as the LCD is always on whenever the camera is not to the eye. It looks like you have to configure one of the Function buttons to first take you to the EVF/LCD settings menu, and then you will have to select the EVF/LCD automatic shift mode. This seems complicated - is there a...

I'm looking to get a walk around camera and I'm sort of leaning towards the X100 or the X-E series. The things that are important to me are a viewfinder (electronic or optical). The resolution doesn't really matter and I don't want to pay much more than $350, although I'll go as far as $500 if need be. The X100 (original) seems just about right, but the X-E seems to be a bit more flexible since it accepts interchangeable lenses and adapted lenses. The X100 can be had for around $350 with...
When I use a manual lens and press the rear command dial to bring up magnification and peaking, I get this box in the lower right hand corner of the screen. If I turn the command dial to change the magnification, the size of the inner box changes. If I use an AF lens, in MF, as soon as I touch the focus ring, this box comes up. It also comes up when I am in AF-S, with AF+MF set to on, Autofocus, and then turn the focus ring to fine tune with MF. Since I always use the center spot for focus...
From what I've read the OVF is the main reason for getting the XP2 over say the XE3. I am not interested in that particularly since the EVF's of the two are so similar. But are there other important factors for favouring the XP2 ? I am not a pro so dual card slots and even weather sealing are not a big deal for me. 1) While I have no problems shooting with the small Oly E-M10 I wonder if with my biggish hands I may not benefit more from a bigger body like the XP2 ? For the 23, 35, 50, 56, 90,...
You guys have been answering all my X-E3 questions so fast - it's now in the shopping cart ready to be shipped. ;-) But I'm trying to find a straight answer on compatible memory cards for the X-E3. I don't shoot video, but I do shoot Fine JPEG+RAW. I still have some of my older SanDisk Extreme cards that work in my X-E2 8GB, SDHC, 30MB speed,10 class 16GB, SDHC I, 30MB speed, 10 class will they work in the X-E3 or should I spring for a couple of replacement 16GB UHS3 cards? I have 16GB,...
