A little background about my question: Several times over the past few years, I have tried using two different camera systems at the same time. After a while I would get annoyed at using two different systems; especially when traveling. You are dealing with two sets of batteries and chargers, maybe two sets of cables, two different menu systems, and in most cases, two different sets of lenses. For a while, I had an X100T with both conversion lenses to use along with my X-E2 kit...

Hi I am new to Astro photography and have a couple of questions if someone would be kind enough to answer them. I have posted 3 images all taken one after the other.  First question is what is the line in the sky which can be seen in all three images? Would an aircraft show up like that? Question 2 is why is the second image showing a blue cast and the other two taken before and after this one are not?  The settings were not changed and the exposure times was the same.  I was using a Fuji XE2...

I'm using a Fuji X-E2 as well as a Ricoh GR. I like the Fuji Provia JPG OOC and would like to have the same "look" on those Ricoh DNGs. Do you think that using presets from VSCO or Really Nice Images would provide some kind of "homogenous" output from these two cameras, using OOC JPG from Fuji and using the preset on the Ricoh DNG?

An hour ago, at my book club meeting I took a group shot. Light was not the best, so I was really counting on playing with the raw file to improve it, like I always do.  To my surprise, both cards shot only JPG. On card one, all the rest from earlier today were raw and card two jpg, as that is what I have it set on. I have been playing with it now  and even on "back-up" setting and it gives me two jpgs on each card.  Really weird. I am hoping I can download new firmware to correct it. Have a...

now then. I don't know much and I'm most stupid, but this is what I gathered: X-E2 has been discontinued, with X-E2S for a replacement. apart from minor design changes, there's no substantial difference between the two, bearing X-E2's [sic] FU in mind. enter the price. X-E2 currently retails at around £100-150 less for both body-only and with lens than X-E2S. the only reason to consider X-E2S at this point is to assume that with the last FU, X-E2 is effectively a goner. from the looks of it,...

I havent ever used video on my XE2 before (V4.00 firmware), and I cannot see how to turn it on. I thought it would be an option under the drive option, but it isnt there. Dumb question if you know the answer I know, but I would be grateful to know. Thanks

I recently acquired a very lightly used Fuji X-E1.  My trusty old X100 did a fine job of being the gateway drug into the Fuji X system :-) The first lens I bought for it was the 35mm F2 WR prime, then the 18-55 f2.8-4 kit lens.  Both from Glazer's in Seattle; the 35mm brand new, the 18-55 used but I don't think it was used a lot.  Anyway, I quickly noticed that the AF acquisition speed on the 35mm f2 lens is slow-like, really slow and like almost unusable in low light situations that would...

I apologise for the dumb question but I have a strange situation here. On an XE2 I have adjusted the screen settings to always show the distance scale whilst in manual focus mode. It works with all my lenses (35mm/f1.4, 90mm/f2 etc), but not with the 14mm/f2.8. The moment I switch either the camera or the lens to manual focus, the distance scale disappears from the screen, which is bad as I usually zone focus especially at night. What am I doing wrong?

Hi all, I'd like to complement my X-E2 based kit with a single off-camera flash, mainly to refine environmental portraits. My eyes are currently on a Yongnuo YN685 (for Canon) and a YN622C-TX as transmitter; this configuration should have enough power and flexibility  while being relatively cheap (160 EUR approx).  The YN685 has a built in receiver that would let me save some room in my bag. Anyone had some experience with a configuration like this? Is the YN 685 eventually too cumbersome to...
