I have the X-E2 and wanted camera with an articulating lcd so I ordered a X-A3. They say now the camera is delayed until November. I wanted it sooner than that so I found a X-M1 at Samy's for $349.00 and ordered it. Now I'm having second thoughts. Did I screw up?

Hi all I’m thinking of getting a MeFoto Roadtrip tripod which comes with an Arca-Swiss compatible head. I have an X-E2 with a MHG-XE hand grip which has an Arca-Swiss compatible dovetail along its full length. I just wondered if anyone has this combination and can reassure me that there aren’t any safety limiting pins etc. on the head which prevent a full length plate from fitting. Sorry if this is a daft question – I have absolutely no experience of quick release plates but I seem to think...

Hi all, Can someone tell me why next pictures are looking darker when stopping down?. All of them were shot using an XE2 and an old manual prime (Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AI). The camera was set on Aperture Priority mode (A), Manual focus, ISO 200 (NOT AutoISO). The only parameter I changed from one picture to another was f number using the lens aperture ring (the aperture value is not included in the EXIF data, but I detail it on each image footer). Why is this happening? I would expect the XE2 to...

Hi, I bought a new X-E2 + 18-55 kit from a reputable ebay store. The camera arrived with FW 4.0 already installed. Should I be suspicious? Thanks, Elchanan

A little background about my question: Several times over the past few years, I have tried using two different camera systems at the same time. After a while I would get annoyed at using two different systems; especially when traveling. You are dealing with two sets of batteries and chargers, maybe two sets of cables, two different menu systems, and in most cases, two different sets of lenses. For a while, I had an X100T with both conversion lenses to use along with my X-E2 kit...

Hi I am new to Astro photography and have a couple of questions if someone would be kind enough to answer them. I have posted 3 images all taken one after the other.  First question is what is the line in the sky which can be seen in all three images? Would an aircraft show up like that? Question 2 is why is the second image showing a blue cast and the other two taken before and after this one are not?  The settings were not changed and the exposure times was the same.  I was using a Fuji XE2...

I'm using a Fuji X-E2 as well as a Ricoh GR. I like the Fuji Provia JPG OOC and would like to have the same "look" on those Ricoh DNGs. Do you think that using presets from VSCO or Really Nice Images would provide some kind of "homogenous" output from these two cameras, using OOC JPG from Fuji and using the preset on the Ricoh DNG?

An hour ago, at my book club meeting I took a group shot. Light was not the best, so I was really counting on playing with the raw file to improve it, like I always do.  To my surprise, both cards shot only JPG. On card one, all the rest from earlier today were raw and card two jpg, as that is what I have it set on. I have been playing with it now  and even on "back-up" setting and it gives me two jpgs on each card.  Really weird. I am hoping I can download new firmware to correct it. Have a...

now then. I don't know much and I'm most stupid, but this is what I gathered: X-E2 has been discontinued, with X-E2S for a replacement. apart from minor design changes, there's no substantial difference between the two, bearing X-E2's [sic] FU in mind. enter the price. X-E2 currently retails at around £100-150 less for both body-only and with lens than X-E2S. the only reason to consider X-E2S at this point is to assume that with the last FU, X-E2 is effectively a goner. from the looks of it,...

I havent ever used video on my XE2 before (V4.00 firmware), and I cannot see how to turn it on. I thought it would be an option under the drive option, but it isnt there. Dumb question if you know the answer I know, but I would be grateful to know. Thanks
