I apologise for the dumb question but I have a strange situation here. On an XE2 I have adjusted the screen settings to always show the distance scale whilst in manual focus mode. It works with all my lenses (35mm/f1.4, 90mm/f2 etc), but not with the 14mm/f2.8. The moment I switch either the camera or the lens to manual focus, the distance scale disappears from the screen, which is bad as I usually zone focus especially at night. What am I doing wrong?

hi, I'm quite excited that in a few weeks I'll be doing a helicopter ride pre-dawn as the sun rises around Ayers Rock, a huge monolithic iconic rock in the middle of Australia surrounded by desert. i did a photo chopper ride once before, but in the middle of the day, and most of my shots then were at 18mm using a Nikkor 18-105 zoom with a D7000. this time it'll be much darker and I have a few more lenses, plus now two Fuji cameras because one us an old XE-1 the other an X-T1. so I was...

Enthusiast Noob seeking guidance here.I have a Fuji XE2 and only own the kit lens (18mm-55mm f2.8-4). I've decided it's high time I invest in a new lens, preferably a prime one.Choosing a lens is a daunting experience, especially I can only afford to buy one.I'm planning a trip to Japan in a few months, aiming for Osaka, Kyoto, then Tokyo. Aside from the kit lens, I need advice on which other lens to bring along. At first I was encouraged to get a wide angle lens to capture cityscapes and...

Hi, I recently acquired a Fuji X-pro1 for a great price and I am looking at starting my kit.  I am splitting hairs over my decision on what to get to start the kit off. My first idea was to solely get the 23mm f/1.4.  I am well aware that this lens is absolutely fantastic optically as well as mechanically, and I love the depth of field scale for use of zone focusing.  I was very confident in my decision with this lens, but as I started thinking about its size, I got some cold feet, which...

Is 14mm good for street shooting? I assume the perspective will distort the faces of people when the camera is tilted up or down, even a bit. Anyone have examples?
