I just bought a FujiFilm FinePix S100FS on e-bay.  It works great and delivers impressive quality pictures for a camera of 2008 vintage, due in part I'm sure to its large 2/3" sensor. Does anyone know if there was any firmware update ever released for this camera? I haven't been able to find one.

Hello Everyone, I need your advice. I want to buy Olympus OM-D E-M1 so bad but I don't want to have to carry multiple lenses with me. My current cam is point and shoot Fujifilm FinePix S1 and because it's weather resistant, it is meeting my needs around the pool for action shots of my kids swim team and water polo team. I'm taking lots of pics we are using on our clubs' web sites. But I want another cam with similar or better pic quality but will not cause me to stress about lens changes...

Hi, I like to do travel photography and I'm looking for a fairly easy to use camera with a long zoom, and an electronic viewfinder.  I'm currently considering the following models: 1. FujiFilm FinePix S1 2. FujiFilm FinePix S9400w 3. FujiFilm FinePix S9900w Which camera would you recommend from this list and why?  They all seem to have similar features, but according to reviews there are some significant differences in quality.  The 9900 is the newest of the bunch with the most up to date...

Hello all, I just received my S1 a few weeks ago & am still trying to figure it out. I'm having problems understanding the manual focus function. I'm trying to do the infinity focus & the manual says "To focus at infinity, focus on a distant object". With my old camera when I go into MF and move the focus all the way it would display a small sideways figure 8. I found that worked well with that camera when taking photos of the moon and stars. I have an extremely hard time getting the camera...

Hi, im looking for a bridge camera and the two that capture my attention are: - Fujifilm Finepix S1 - Nikon P600 Both have sensor 1/2.3", CMOS, Wifi, a good lens, telezoom, but my concern is about IQ and slow shots (autofocus slow). I owned a Nikon L810, a good camera but without manual option (all was automatic) and slow between shoots. I read that the Finepix S1 is fast, and took photos in RAW, shoot videos on 480fps, but i never used a Fujifilm equipmen; i´ve read review on P600 and are...

Hi, i´m new here and in the world of photography I'm looking to buy a new camera, to use in every days activities (kids almost the time). Before, i used a Point and Shoot camera of low level, then i bought a Nikon l810, was ok, but i´m felling is too automatic some modes, and i want something more configurable, not a DSLR, but something better than a l810, like a bridge camera. I'm looking at the Nikon P600, or similar in price (the super zoom option is not priority for me). Also looking the...

Hi,I unpacked a FinePix S1 today. I can't get the flash to fire, regardless of mode. The icon for suppressed flash remains active, and I haven't figured out how to change it. The button with the flash icon does not seem to change anything. Any help?

Hi there, My husband just received his 30 year long service award with the company he is employed with.  There are several options re awards one can choose from...one of them being a free camera out of a choice of seven.  BUT...we are not in the 'know' so to speak re cameras.  Therefore, we have been trying to research the different brands we can choose from...my nephew suggested we check out your website. Not going to lie...we are both OVERWHELMED...and were very excited when we noticed...
