Fujifilm FinePix 4700 Zoom

Announced Jan 31, 2000 •
2 megapixels | 2 screen | 36 – 108 mm (3×)

I have owned this seince Dec 27th and simply find this camera wonderful. I am a professional photographer and have shot with the best cameras in the world..used all the pro ones. Most reviewers have gone into incredible detail. I will highlight the most important features to me. 1. Size. This thing is the size of a pack of cards. Literally. I really like this since I can keep it in my pocket (can't do that with my Pentax 645.) I have realized that this has helped me in a way I have not ...

I've already reviewed this, so my original review is at the end of this post. I have to correct the latest review, re: BATTERY LIFE :-). The batteries last for 5 pictures maybe if you use a) alkaline batteries (e.g. Duracell/Energiser) - silly!! b) very low capacity rechargeables c) very new rechargeables I use 1300maH/1600maH Ni-MH rechargeables and, after the initial 2/3 charge/discharge cycles, the life is excellent. I was in Paris this weekend and forgot to take out an extra set, but it ...

I think the rewies of this camera seen on several sites are a bit unfair. The FinePix 4700Z really delivers excellent images. And the size and design of the camera really are revolutonary! Problems: Try taking a completely black photo (with any digital camera?) and you will see bright pixels wich shouldnt be there. I had the same problems with my MX2700, is this unique to Fuji and theyre CCD's??

Just picked this puppy up and LOVE it! I played with my friends CP990 and an Oly. C3000 both excellent and they keep telling me much better cameras. Well, the images if you look at them at full res. and full size are better(marginal) out of those cameras - if you really are looking for it pixel by pixel(maybe); I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they spent so much more money. If you want a turn key camera out of the box for hundreds less that will take images that can be printed ...

This is my 6th digital camera and it would be fair to say I am hooked on them now. This one appealed to me on the grounds of size, after all it must be with you to be of any use at all. Quality of image is often disagreed about by reviewers. In my opinion, it is near perfect in colour, focus is better than average. White balance is correct, the adjustable sensitivity and various modes are actually useful, unlike some I have tried. For example, I was able to point it at a dark sky and obtain ...

The LED is too bright which makes me can't use the viewfinder to take photo. Other than this, all features are good.

Es compacta, bastante pequeña y lineas modernas, me parece bastante complicada por sus extensos menus. No me gusta la resolución interpolada

This mini digital well-constructed and easy to use. It's a little big to fit in a shirt pocket but it's small and compact enough to carry it around. Problems: none

Me I’m an amateur in photography. I’m a beginner in digital photography. I’m an expert in computing. I think I'm going to be a point-and-shoot user. I will use my pictures primarily for e-mail, the photo album and the website, and I will do some image manipulation and / or enlargements on the PC for my consultancy and education business. My opinion on the Fuji Finepix 4700Z: today’s best point-and-shoot machine Size This was a major decision factor. In several ...

ok. i'm an early 20s male who wanted to go digital. i'm not a professional, nor a hard core techy guy.. but i do have some knowledge in photography. anyway... just letting you know so you keep in mind the "reasoning" why i bought it - in case you're just like me. before i get into the review of this camera, let me just tell you what a hassle it was getting a hold of this particular model. Futureshop is a huge Canadian (not sure about US) electronics store chain. I called every location in my ...
