Dear, I have a Fuji S100FS camera. I know that the camera is very old, but I hope that there will something.... The problem is about Auto Focus. In any position of the switch from the left part of the camera (Single Focus / Continuous Focus / Manual Focus) on the camera menu appear as it is only in manual focus (the sign compose of two brackets ( ). Otherwise in the menu options for AF the line is blocked and no modifications can be done here. The switch looks working OK (is not damaged) but...
Fujifilm Finepix S100fs - I have one that I bought new in 2010. I have cared for it well. Hadn't used it much this past winter or spring. When I started using it again this summer it was very slow to turn on......like over 3 seconds delay - when it used to just pop on nearly instantly. Any ideas?
Why are there so many pixels in an S100fs RAF?Is this a SuperCCD camera?Although the S100fs is supposedly an 11.1 Mp camera that produces 3840x2880 pixel images in JPEG, when I converted a RAF file from imaging-resource.com with RawTherapee, I got 5465x4111 pixels, 22.46 Mp. Can anyone explain this?http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/56438692I looked at the 2008 DPR review in which Richard Butler criticized "unnecessarily large Raw files" and says FinePix Studio spits out 22 Mp files, as did...

First of all, let me state some of my understandings. Please DO correct me if I am wrong ;) I have did a bit studies over wiki , nikon , and dpreview . All AF lenses have the AF screw hole? All AF bodies have the AF screw driver? All non-AF bodies have no AF screw driver? No matter in what combinations, AF detection and calculations must be done in camera. (i am quite sure on this.) Differences between AF and AF-S lens is, AF lens cannot turn itself mechanically (need to depend on the body's...

I recently upgraded from an s100fs when the a couple buttons broke on mine and the replacement I bought on amazon has an issue with freezing. Anyway, I generally used the auto settings, but with the x10 and it's EXR setting I've been trying to use more manual settings, especially with the hs50. I tried using the slower shutter speeds but whenever I try to do it, I just get a white screen. I used the firework setting on the 5th to take firework pictures and that setting worked great, but...
Been lurking here for quite a while. I would like to thank JPEG Shooter for hipping me to the deal at Rakuten for the XS 1. $299 with free shipping and no sales tax! Talk about a no brainer. Has anyone here attached an external mike to the XS 1? Other than a RODE, can anyone make a reccomendation for an inexpensive mike (preferrably stereo)? I want to tape a performance, jazz duo on a modest PA system, any advice or experience would be helpful. Incidentally, I got my camera yesterday. Serial...
I'd really appreciate help from members of the forum on this question. I've been very happy using my S100FS during the last few years, but am wondering if I would benefit from switching to an X-S1. The vast majority of my shooting is landscapes (including low level light shots) sightseeing holidays/ city breaks (including night shots), country fairs, general travel. The focal length range of the S100FS is perfectly adequate for my needs, PF has not been a major problem (perhaps I've been...

Hi there, I have several old Vivitar 285 flashes and they work on all my cameras and I also use them off camera with good results. I'd like to use the Di866MkII with some non-ttl cameras I have and when purchasing the flash understood the Av mode to be something that would allow functionality similar to the Vivitar 285's. With those ...for both on and off camera, I choose the aperture and ISO I wish to use then dial those into the Vivitar and the auto thyristor takes care of exposure as...
