Good construction, but connection post could be more robust. Plenty of features, lots of shooting modes, quick menus, external flash port. However movie quality is disappointing. Compact size for such camera, very nice lens (Canon 4x, almost no distorsions). starting from 33 mm equivalent ! Casio Exilim EX-P600
I would be classified as an advanced amateur. The P600 is my second string digicam. I use a Nikon D100 for serious work, shoot in the RAW mode, edit on a color profiled monitor with Photoshop and print on a 6 color photo printer. This is my first digital camera. It is very nice, very compact camera. Menu is easily assesable and easy to use. Best Shot mode is terrific, especially for night portrait. Self timer works great, especially with remote control. Problems: The only problem so far is dark high speed shutter pictures.
