I am planning to upgrade from my Canon SX40 Superzoom (12 mp, 24-840 zoom) to a new camera and let my grandson have the SX40. I like to do lots of research, but I am leaning toward pre-ordering the Pany FZ80. I've wanted a Pany FZ but never gotten one. My only Panasonic is ZS5 which I no longer use due to what looks like water spots on photos. I currently have a Canon DSLR that I really like, but my longest lens is 55-250. I enjoy the superzoom for grandkids' ball games as well as more...
I'm looking to update my tripod system and im torn between so many options. First a quick overview on what i do:I'm looking to get the tripod for basic DSLR video gigs, if I need something heavier in my setup I'll rent a heavier tripod. I'm currently running with Sony A7 set with some longer and "heavier" Canon lenses (24-70f2.8, 70-200f4 and Sigma 24-35f2, also some rented glass when needed). I'm also using Zoom H5 and looking to expand it with a cage to A7 and for a proper shotgun mic. I do...

I also have Rode stereo video mic pro, I can connect this to the same xlr input znd it works fine. This is a real dilemma, any thoughts or suggestion greatly appreciated. Lew

Hi Guru's, I am interested in starting to video dog training sessions. I am keen to capture the audio of the handler and the instructor if possible. The distance from handler to camera position would range from 15ft to 150ft as they go through the various pattens. What are you ideas on possible solutions? Shotgun mic Stereo mic on camera Pair of lavalier mics on both parties Separate recorder h5n Best way to sinc audio during post processing I have panasonic cameras g6 gx8 & gh4 but no...

I am planning to record a 50-minute concert non-stop with my two-camera kit (Nikon V1 and Sony A5100). One being mounted on a tripod, and the other in my hand to shoot close-ups and B roll. Audio is recorded externally. Since the Sony A5100 would be definitely overheating after the 16th minute and subsequently every 5 minutes, I'm thinking of using it with Avermedia ExtremeCap U3 connected to my laptop. http://gamerzone.avermedia.com/products/live_gamer_series/extremecap_u3/features/en Have...
