I use a couple of Canon EF portrait lenses (135/2L & 85/1.8 USM) with EOS R and I don't have any major problems as i keep the shutter speed around 1/200 most of the time. But I was wondering how effective is the IBIS on R6 with these EF lenses. Is it still 5-axis with EF lenses or downgrades to 3-axis? Some used R6's are popping up here and there and I am contemplating if its going to benefit my STILL images in any way - (No interest in video)? Thanks in advance

Hot/stuck pixels - at what point do you consider them an issue? I have a brand new R6 and it has one quite obvious red hot pixel that shows up at ISO100 on any long exposures - even at half a second. Moving to 2 seconds and there’s a couple of red pixels and a white one that are easily visible. At 30 seconds, I can see 7 red or white pixels without zooming in on the image (i.e. just looking at it at 100% on a computer display, not pixel peeping). Bump it up to ISO3200 and I can see 8 hot...

Hi everyone, I would like to switch from Nikon to Canon. It's a move that just makes sense for my location. I plan to sell my Nikon equipment to buy the Canon equipment. I'm currently taking time off from work because I just had a baby, but I will start working again at the end of this year. It feels like a good time to switch. I'm interested in the new mirrorless eye-AF on the R5 because I think it will be easier to track my little one when she starts running around. I'm pretty good at...

Hi On my EF 300L F2.8 IS which i owned, i used to have a screw-on drop in filter holder. Now I have the 400 DO ii with gelatine filter holder.  Would it make sense to switch to the screw on when using on  my EOS R6? --http://www.fotocommunity.de/pc/pc/mypics/1125341

Now that we have a gaggle of R5 and R6 owners, can someone share some HEIFs SOOC? This seems to have gotten lost in the history books for whatever reason but represents a large step forward for ILCs...

Longtime Nikon shooter here, but very intrigued by the R5 and R6, especially with regard to autofocus capabilities. I have the Nikon Z6 and Z7 and both are good, but they don't quite get the job done when stopped down (usually f/8) in dimly lit studio settings. The problem is that regardless of lens used, they will only open up to f/5.6 to acquire focus if you are shooting higher (narrower apertures) than that. AF accuracy suffers as a result. I have read that the R5 and R6 acquire focus wide...

I have a canon eos R with a 50mm 1.4 and Tamron 24 70 2.8 with image stabilization (G2) version. I make youtube videos quite consistently sometimes hand held vlogging style and sometimes on tripod. The problem that I'm facing is that  A. 120 fps is 720p on EOS R with no auto focus or any other control for that matter B. No in body stabilization C. Lopsided front heavy ergonomics that make using this "dumbellish" contraption a bit of a pain. So the solutions are A. Buy an R6 and keep the...

Quick question, I hope.  I got the R6 and have it setup to record to multiple and it works fine.  The question is what happens if I forget to format the second card after a shoot and just format the 1st card slot?  Will it just continue to shoot to both cards until the 2nd card it full?  Peace!

Just struggling with this. Trying to decide whether to sell my 1DX2 and get an R6, I already own an R5. I’ve been shooting weddings for years with my 1DX2 and 1DX and have always thought I couldn’t live without these great bodies. However, I purchased the R5 mainly for my landscape works and found that it is incredibly good also for weddings. So I’m now trying to decide whether to sell my 1DX2 and get an R6 to shoot weddings with R5 and R6. My older 1DX is already online for sale. My fear is...

Hi I am currently resorting my telephoto gear. I have a an R6 with 24-105/70-200F4. The question here now is, what to use upwards, when, image quality, size and weight is a topic. We have two Zoo in Switzerland which feature a large tropical rain forrest. Not a lot of light, misty humid and 37°C. This must be taken into account. 100-500L ISEF 100-400L II ISor EF 300L F4 IS (+TC1.4xIII) Any other ideas?Worth to consider any Sigma or Tamron? Thanks for some...
