I’ve had my M6II since August. The Control Dial - on the back of the camera with the Q/Set button in the middle - is configured for ISO. The dial has gotten *very* sticky as of late. I find that, to get it to turn, I have to push hard enough that I regularly activate the buttons inside the ring. Its quite irritating. Has anyone else had this problem? Any quick fix? Or do I need to contact Canon for warranty service? As always, thanks in advance. John

Hi Yall, I was wondering if anyone knows if it's okay put on a step-up ring, a variable ND filter, and a filter bracket on the canon 22mm f2 lens? I think there's a weight limit on that lens but I'm not sure the exact weight it can hold. Thanks!

Hello everyone, Hope you are well and safe. I'm thinking of getting the EOS M6 Mark II, and was wondering if it has any of the nice AF features like eye AF etc. ? Is it as good as EOS R / RP in terms of eye tracking or will there be a firmware coming with the updates? Please do share your experience with the camera and if it is worth getting? Also how is the noise level on the M6 II? With such a high resolution, does noise show up fairly easy? Many thanks and stay safe. --IG:...

Hello Everyone, I am thinking about buying a Canon M6 Mark II with the EF-EOS M adapter. I am planning to buy the following lenses with it: Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Sigma 70-200mm f / 2.8 EX DG II HSM Macro Could someone please tell me whether these lenses are fully compatible with this setup, especially in terms of autofocus? I would also like to know whether any firmware update is needed to improve compatibility. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you very much, Fahmin

A simple question. In terms of resolution, can M6 mk2 be better than RP or R6 in consideration of their differences of pixel counts? Lens examples:EFM 32mm or Sigma 30mm and EF 50mm 1.8 or EF 50mm 1.4EFM 11-22mm and 17-40LSigma 56mm and EF 85mm 1.8EFM 22mm and old EF 35mm 2, not 35 ISRokinon 12mm and EF 20mm 2.8 How do you describe the difference between a low-pixel-count FF body with old EF lenses and a higher-pixel-count crop body with its new lenses? Do you think it is a waste to get RP or...

Hi All, I currently have an M5 that I've had for 3 years, and an M100 that I have had for 18 months. I'm thinking of getting an M6 MkII and selling the M5, reason being I would like to get back into some closeup\macro stacking using a tethered connection to Helicon Remote on a phone, and I wouldn't mind taking advantage of better AF and low light. Recently a friend of mine bought a used M50 and he wanted me to test it to make sure all was OK. I decided to hook it up to Helicon remote on my...

Probably a noob question, but I haven't been able to find any info about this anywhere at all, including the camera manual. I have a couple of vintage lenses that I use on the Canon EOS M6 Mark ii with adapters. I use them only for video. They are, of course, all manual and have no electronics. Whenever I use them, the Digital IS shows that it is disabled in movie mode. The camera will let me enable Digital IS (the option isn't grayed out or anything), but then it shows a little disabled icon...

Hi, I'm a hobbyist photographer at max and trying my hands in BIF. I have EOS RP body and 100-400 MK II lens with couple of extenders for this job. I'm not happy with the AF tracking and high ISO performance of my RP. Also can't get the APS-C reach. So wondering to buy another APS-C body. Undoubtedly 7D MK II is highly recommended when it come to action shooting. But my question is that it is worth to buy this aging camera in 2020? I'm considering used version.  It seems clear that Canon is...

As an M5 user who often enjoys shooting with manual focus-only lenses, my only real complaint is how getting the EVF to magnify takes so many awkward control manipulations. It seems that the new M6 Mark II may permit customizing a button to turn on focus magnification with one press. Is that possible? I see from Canon’s marketing page that one of the customizable functions is “magnify/reduce” – however it’s not immediately clear if that refers to focusing or to image review. Thanks in...

Is it normal to experience a short freeze/hangup in liveview lcd/evf shortly after taking a shot? Seems like it's freezing while writing from the buffer. Coming from Nikon D800 and not used to mirrorless cameras. I'm using a Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-I Card and I've tried various file size Raw/Jpeg with the same results.
