Hi So I'm currently have a Canon 400D (which has a 1.6x crop) with the 55-250mm. I want to upgrade the camera to the Canon M50 but I don't know if I should keep the 55-250mm and adapt it to the M50 or get the 55-200 instead? My main concern is that the 200mm wouldn't be enough for bird photography. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi So I've been wanting to upgrade from my 400D for a while now, and I want to make the switch to the mirrorless system. Right now I have the Canon EOS 400D with it's original kit lens and 55-250mm f/4-5.6 III. I've read on the internet that the only good thing the M5 has for it is the operating temperature and the control dials? I do bird photography, street and I take my camera with me (or I would like to) on tramps. Also, should I get the 55-200mmf/4.5-5.6 and sell my 55-250? I'm kinda...

A quick question to EOS M50 owners, especially those of you who already have some tethering/remote control app installed. I know M50 supports remote control in general, you can see live view on your computer or mobile device, and you can take shots. But does manual focus stepping work with M50? Can't find this info anywhere. I need it for automated focus stacking. It seems that if any M-series camera has this capability, it can only be M50. M100, sadly, doesn't (don't ask me how I...

Has anyone tried this combination out? I’ve been wary of this lens because of the well-documented focus issues that people have had with it with the 80D/M5.  I have the chance to pick one up for a really good deal, but it doesn’t include the dock, and if I end up needing one I’d rather buy the new bundle that includes it.  Just wanted to see if my autofocusing fears with this lens + body are unfounded.

Hello guys, Could somebody tell me if this Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 Di VC USD (Canon mount) lens works with Canon M50, of course, in combination with Canon EOS M Mount Adapter? Thanks a lot!

Hey guys, I spend the entire day trying to decide which camera I should go for...I was using G1X Mark II, the time lag between shots are extremely annoying and thought it's time to upgrade it!! I don't really care about the 4K that M50 is so stressing on, but the light weight body and the lenses are really attractive!! That being said, I do think that the 800D/77D offers a wider range of lenses to choose from, altho as a beginner I probably wont play with lenses that much... for now. Plus,...

The colors on his shirt look like they're flashing/shifting. Is this an eye thing or a camera thing? Footage was taken from same/different angles and the color thing was really only prevalent in this video, around 1:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBttymXGa84

Hey, After months of following this forum religiously, I finally made an account to ask a few questions. You all seem so passionate and knowledgeable and it reassures me that I chose the right hobby! I currently own the M50 with the 22mm and the 50mm STM w/adapter. If I purchase the 32mm F/1.4, what purpose would the adapted 50mm serve? I don't like to carry many lenses and my type of photography is mostly landscape, street, travel, and the odd portrait. I find the 50mm too narrow on the...

Two quick questions if I could. 1) I purchased a Canon M50 and a Canon BR-E1 bluelight remote adapter with the intent of triggering the camera remotely. I have been able to synchronize them so that the BR-E1 will trigger the shutter, however, whenever I shoot this way, the lamp on the front of the camera flashes, making my shooting more conspicuous that I would like. Other than putting some opaque tape over the lamp, is there any way to stop the lamp from flashing? Are there any...
