I'm considering one of these due to the compactness and recent price drops.  I'm not really clear on what differentiates these two.  They seem very similar in design, features, and pricing.  If anyone has a quick answer I'd be much obliged. Cheers! --Photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/94301219@N03/

Hey boys and girls, I've been a time to time reader of the reviews on this page for quite a while and I'm now planning to buy a new EOS-M-body for my Canon lenses. I'm wondering if I should go for the M6 or the M50 body. I don't need a view finder - also I would perhaps start to use it, when I've got one - and I'm not interested in 4K Video (1080p is enough for me). Price would be nearly the same here in germany, the M6 being 15-20% cheaper. Comparing the bodys with the dpreview-comparison it...

The M50 creates CR3 raw files. CC 2018 ACR can open them but nothing else can. Windows Explorer can't. FastStone Image Viewer won't even acknowledge they are an image file. Ditto for BreezeBrowser (my mainstay). I wrote BB support and waiting for an answer. I have FastPictureViewer codec pack installed but it isn't working for displaying M50 CR3 files. (It was last updated in April of 2017 so I'm not holding my breath.) I looked at Canon for a codec and they said they Canon RAW Codec has been...

After I just got an M50 for shooting tethered I find that the Canon AC Adapter Kit ACK-E12 (to run the camera off AC instead of a battery) is no longer available? (Adorama, too.) It is listed as "out of stock" on Canon's online store. Uh, why did Canon discontinue a product that supports one of their newest cameras? There are some third party versions available but I'd be more comfortable with a Canon unit. I've never used any kind of AC adapter with my cameras. I used to use a 60D for...

Can I save some $$? I have an M50, the Canon EF M lens adapter and I am not sure of the befits of the M11-22, save for size and weight? at f/5.5, this looks reasonable in the center - the corners are workable. Save for the WA distortion, it looks OK to me...  In Canada the 11-22 is currently on sale $429 ($160 off). Anyone with some experience with this lens on the M series? A search gave me this: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/61113862 with no real answer to the OP. Thanks for your...

Hi all - my apologies if this has been asked before. i have just bought an EOS M50 and realised it seems to have external wireless flash support.  However, this is a new world for me since i use my EX580 II with a 40D, which doesnt have wireless support. Could anyone tell me if i'm mistaken, and if not, advide how i can set-up my speedlight as a wireless flash with the M50? Thanks.

I got the M50 over the weekend and had a blast the last few days. I have a Leica M240 - but wanted to get something with AF. I looked at the XT-20 as well, but the little EOS seemed like the most compact package. I got it with the 15-45mm and the 22mm lens. My intention is to use it as a JPEG only camera, with high quality pics I can share with my family. I'm not good with menu hunting (hence the Leica), so a couple of questions. Apologies if these are already answered, but I did do a search...

Hi, I'm an amateur photographer, mostly take photos for Instagram with my smartphone. I also have Nikon D3000 + 35mm f/1.8G lens, because i really love portrait + city photography and shallow depth of field. Recently I decided to switch to Canon EOS M platform. I find my Nikon: Too old Too big Too heavy for traveling 50mm equivalent is less flexible than 35mm equivalent Reading through https://www.dpreview.com/articles/2666934640/what-is-equivalence-and-why-should-i-care I understood, that...
