I bought this camera together with the 18-135mm USM nano. I already owned a Panasonic FZ1000 and a Canon Sl1. I bought the camera because I was not completely satisfied anymore with the Panasonic FZ 1000 and because the sl1 had only 18 mp. The 80d is a very serious camera and can do miracles in the right hand. The colours of the 80d are far better than on the sl1 and fz 1000. The viewfinder is great. Since I wear reading glasses but leave these at home I only use the optical viewfinder. I ...

I just bought the 80D, and I have taken about 100 photo's and 3 video's. What I have seen is that it blows my 70D away. The AF is spot on, the colors are strong, I have not changed any settings. It was worth the wait for me . Video is excellent and though I do not do a lot, what I have done, was impressive.

This is my 3rd Canon DSLR (20D, 550D before) and I'm very happy with it. Handling in my rather bigger hands is very good, interface as well as all the buttons are very intuitive. I had no problems (camera related) with focusing my two small children running around in good light conditions. Picture quality is amazing - it is huge step from 550D sensor, it will take a time when I will reach limits of this body. Yes - in studio tests it has lack of dynamic range against competitors but in ...

The Canon 80D was my first venture into DSLR cameras (been using traditional video cameras up to now). I "thought" I did a lot of research before I decided on the Canon 80D but I missed some important (to me at least) features. I did not realize that there is a 29 min/59 second constraint on the camera when shooting video. After further research it appears that is a typical DSLR "feature" not only with Canon. After further research it was suggested that I could use an Atomos Ninja for my ...

From Pentax to Nikon to Fuji, I think I will be a Canon user for quite some time. I should have been more careful in purchasing a camera in a way that I should have tried them first before buying. Which I am going to advise now for all buyers especially the newbies and hobbyists like me. Anyway, Canon is not the best camera simply because there is no best camera. But once I held a Canon 80D it really felt different. I tried also the D7200 and I have the XT-1 with grip. The feel of the Canon ...

I have bought the Canon 80D to replace my older 700D. As a semi professional photographer / videographer I needed a camera that is allround great and affordable. I was thinking about switching to a mirrorless camera but the when the 80D came out I had no reason to switch again. Because I am using this camera 99% for video this review will also be about video. Overall: For video this is one of the best DSLR's you can get. Of course it's still a APS-C sensor and not Full-Frame zo light is still ...

Canon 80D 70 200mII

I have had this camera since May this year. I came with the 18 - 135 IS USM kit lens. I have since bought a Sigma 17 -70 f2.8 - f4 and a Canon 100 - 400 IS Mark II. I just got a 70 - 200 IS Mark II L series. All the lenses have strong points. The Canons are all quiet enough for video. The Sigma is a sharp shooter. All the Canons focus fast on this camera. It has decent accuracy. I like the on camera Double exposure feature. That allows you to see the first picture, while taking the second. ...

I recently bought the 80D after using a 60D for many years till it gave up on me. The 80D has been a great replacement. Has a lot of nice new features , such as creative filters , allowing you to experiment with your photos as well as onboard cropping tool. Take great photos , pretty easy to use. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-size  SLR.

I just bought this camera, I'm really happy to change my Canon 70D to 80D... It was exciting to explore hunting using this camera.... I trust Canon is always best from the best. With 24 MP I'm very satisfied...
