Hello all, I am a long time canon user who has been thinking about switching to A7x, and with the recent trade in deal, I am just about ready to pull the trigger. Originally I have my eye set on A7S ii because with my 7D because I found I have a hard time focusing my subject at indoor situation, from aquarium to dim-lit rooms.  But after researching on some reviews (although most are focus on video, not still photography) that everyone raves about A7R ii for superior focusing system with both...

with the same money that I spend to buy a 6D MKII I can get a 6D and a 7D MKII. Brand new. The 7D MKII could replace my 7D & 1D MKIII for sports. Would the 6D be good for landscapes, portraits and travel photography and to print up to A3+ size? Hi M43 forum, Now that there seem to finally be an M43 camera with sufficient af-capability to be used for birding, I may now finally be able to downsize my gear to save weight. I am currently using 7D mk1 and 100-400 mk1 which combined ways approx 2.3 kg. The Em1 mk2 + mZuiko 75-300 would be approx 1 kg only. I have however some questions for those of you who really use the Mk2 for birding : 1) Is the Evf really good enough to be used to find birds hiding inside a tree or bush. This works...

(Posted in both 1D/5D/6D and 7D/ 10D-80D forums) Greetings~ My Canon 6D had a horrible accident 2 months ago involving my wife's dog and a moving car and was pretty much destroyed. I've been limping along with her T4i since as I was waiting for the release of the 6D MK II to drive 6D prices down. I recieved the Canon Black Friday email and saw some interesting numbers and need the hive-mind's advice. Important Factors: I have about $1500 available to replace my camera. Current lenses are all...

How does M31 look on other peoples computers? Did a little bit of tweaking to final image in Adobe Lightroom. No cropping. Set up: Canon 7d mkii, Canon Macro 100mm L f2.8 IS USM static tripod, ISO 6400, ss 5sec, 37 shots with a 7 second interval, stacked in photoshop.

Anybody tried a yongnuo 14ex ring flash on a 7dii or newer camera. It worked great on 30d and 7d. But only worked at full power on 7dii and now on 1dxii it only works every second or third shot. Great flash be sorry if it has to go.

I have a Yongnuo 14EX ring flash. It works fine on an old 30d and a 7d. On my 7dii it only fires full power, now on the 1d it only fires every second or third shot if I hold the shutter down. Not sure if I am missing something or it is just not compatible with newer models.

Hi,  I am debating the switch from my 7d to a full frame Canon. I shoot indoors/out and at night. I have one speed light, and am saving up to buy a another one along with a soft box/stand. I am going to Thailand in two months and will be working on different photography projects there, along with some video work. I love my canon 7d, but I have found that my pictures are very grainy after about ISO 1250, and I was wondering if using a   three light set-up in conjunction with a full frame would...
