Hi everyone, I am looking to upgrade from my Rebel series camera. At first, I was looking at the latest Rebel but decided to go up a level or two. So, I've started to narrow my focus on the 6D for a full frame option or the 80D. I mostly use my camera while traveling so I take a mix of photos, from landscapes to people shots/portraits. I’m very much an amateur but I do take and use photos for work so I aim to get professional looking pictures of our projects. My main lens right now is a...

I have just purchased a Canon EOS 70D. However when I take an image all that is recorded is a black screen with just a small portion of the image(about 1/10th) visible at the bottom. Lens is a EF 50mm f/1.8 STM. Also I am unable to download drivers, updates etc as I only have an iPad. Mat thanks.

Hi guys, I'm an amateur using an EOS 70D and have agreed to take some model shots for a mate. The photos are gonna be against a white background. I've heard to get sharp pics, f2.2 or f4 (not sure) on a canon 50mm f1.8 is great. I also own the kit 18-55mm and a sigma 150-500mm, which some people have recommended against. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

I have a Canon 70D.  I need to purchase a lens for taking pictures at local high school football and basketball games.  Lighting at these events are typically poor and cause a lot of blur with my current lens.  I would like to upgrade to something with a f/2.8.  I'm not sure if I should stay with a Canon product or other.  I would classify my photography as advanced amateur on a budget.  Thank you for your input.

Hi, Recently acquired a 7D Mark I for £460 new as an upgrade to my Canon 600d. Couldn't justify the jump to the Mark II or 6D at the moment, nor did I see better value in the 70D, and the 80D is still too highly price. I'm looking for a new lens or two, I currently have the 55-250 IS II, the 50mm 1.8 prime and the 10-18mm Canon. I want to add a better an more sharp lens to my arsenal. I shoot a range of things, from landscapes to aircraft and airshows; really at opposite sides of the focal...

Hello. I am in process of choosing camera for video. I just want big sensor with good autofocus for movie. The choice is either 750d/760d and EOS M3. The camera has same hybrid cmos AF III autofocus. Are they have same movie autofocus capability?  I know 70d is very good with dual pixel AF, unfortunately the camera is too big and heavy! Thank you for the answer.

Good morning! I have been shooting for years now, starting with a Rebel XT, now with a T2i. I've always been passionate about photography, but have never had the resources to splurge on upgrading the body, or buying quality lenses. I took this past year off, letting the camera collect dust, and I finally want to get back into it... with some new gear of course... I'd like your opinions. Should I upgrade from my 550d to perhaps a 60d or 70d, maybe even a 7d? I hear that the 550d is a very...

Hi everyone I'm thinking of getting Canon 70D for youtube short films. Nothing professional, but still I want them to look good. Probably I will get the body and some prime lens. - Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM - Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM (Art) Canon - Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM And in the future maybe 85mm.. For the following type of shoots, do I need all of them? : - during the day using tripods - without tripod or steadicam.. (maybe I should ge 70D kit (18-55mm IS STM) for the...

Any experiences with Canon service fixing a decentered or tilted optics lens that is not a L? Currently, I have a 18-135mm STM that is very soft along the right 20% of the frame from 18-35mm. 35mm is very bad until F8 but really need F11 for a complete fix. Unfortunately, I can't return just the lens from a package with a 70D. The refurb camera seems like new with not even a dust spot on the sensor, very nice for change. I can send the lens to Canon service or return the entire kit, which I...

I have bought a canon 70D last year and have been using it with the kit 18-135 STM and 50 1.8 STM. I get good stills with the prime lens but with the kit lens so so. I liked 70D for its video autofocus and silent recording. Recently, I bought sigma 17 50 2.8 and am not very happy with it. I want to sell it off and stick to primes for stills and kit lens for videos. To avoid lens changing on field I am thinking to go for a back up camera. And I also wanted to experience a FF camera. Now that...
