Hi guys, I have a problem with my Sigma 18-35mm 1.8 unable to focus with the viltox adapter! It was fine for like 1-2 months ago. Tried cleaning the connections but still unable to resolve the problem.Tired on my friends 5Dmk2 and 90D and the focus works no issue. I tried his 24-35mm f2 sigma on my setup (m6mk2 + viltrox adapter) and the lens to wont focus!!! aperture works as usual. Tried the canon 70-200mm f4, canon 50mm 1.8 STM and 50mm L 1.2 all have no issues and autofocus works fine. So...

Hi There, my trusty Canon setup is failing just before holidays (Er 01). It's probably the lens. I'm therefore faced with a dilemma: 1. Replace the EF-S 17-55 and continue being satisfied with Canon colours, but missing out on the newest technology and perhaps risking a future failure, or 2. Change to the X-S10 / XF 16-55mm f2.8 and hopefully be equally satisfied or more, albeit paying more than double (perhaps only double after selling the Canon gear). - I mainly want to keep the fantastic...

I'd like to play around with macro photography, but since it's just for myself right now I don't need to drop the coin on the Canon tubes. Anybody have experiences to share, good or bad? In case it matters, I'm shooting a 70D or 80D. I'll probably just start with my 50mm 1.8. Thanks!

I am looking to digitize some old 35mm colour negatives and am looking to buy a decent used ILC camera, and a modest macro lens which will be up to doing a fairly good job (I am on a modest budget). From the hours research I have done I am pretty much decided on a camera with minimum 20 megapixels and a 1:1 true macro lens. For the camera, should I go for a more higher end, older model (e.g. Canon EOS 5D mk2, EOS 70D, NikonD7100) or a more newer, but lower end model (e.g. Canon EOS 700D,...

Has anyone used either a 70D or 80D along with a 90D and can tell me how the video quality compares? I am interested only in what FHD footage looks like when comparing an 80D with a 90D or 70D and 90D. My requirements are perhaps a little unusual so I will explain what I am asking. I own a 90D and 2 x 60D's. I am an environmental artist and film maker and my work is made in natural locations which I then shoot for stills and video. Normally I have one chance to record something so I use more...

So I've been out of photography for a year or so and just recently had a little extra money and decided to buy a camera and lens.  I went to KEH and ordered a 70D and the 50mm 1.8 STM.    Then I started doing more research and saw that I can get a 50M refurbished for about the same price .   Should I  send the 70D back and get the 50M?   I mainly do portraits.    Thanks for your help

I am noticing that when I take shots of wildlife, that the actual subject ( bird or animal) looks great, but the bokeh looks like it’s just full of streaks like i was taking the shot in the middle of a windstorm, any ideas?

Can a 90D pop up flash trigger a Godox v860iii flash? The v860iii listing  on Amazon vaguely makes claims it can do this for canons like the 70d .Not sure how to actually do it. I want to try off camera flash photography

Hi Just purchased an R6 the other day. Been doing some test shots using my EFs 15-85mm U. Firstly is it usual for a mirrorless to use high iso even in daylight ? My Old 70D took an outdoor shoot at ISO 200  shutter 125 aperture f 8.0 clean nice even light. Same settings on the R6 image was dark as hell way under exposed  had to hit 800 ISO to even get remotely close I thought a mirrorless would need less ISO not more ? Also the R6 images are poor sharpness very soft, they looked great in the...

I'm getting old and looking for a lighter gear. For those who changed gears from DSLR to M mirrorless, what should I expect and is it worth it?
