Hey everyone, I've been taking photos for a few years now. Started with a 650d now using a 70d and one day hopefully FF. Shooting with a 50 1.8 and Sigma 17-50 2.8. Mostly outdoor landscape, stills and some portrait shots. I'm getting interested in learning more about portrait photography. I'm also saving up for a (have not decided yet which version) 70-200 f2.8/4. At the moment I have some spare cash and here is the question: I can buy one or two reflectors, maybe a stand to hold it and...
(Posted in both 1D/5D/6D and 7D/ 10D-80D forums) Greetings~ My Canon 6D had a horrible accident 2 months ago involving my wife's dog and a moving car and was pretty much destroyed. I've been limping along with her T4i since as I was waiting for the release of the 6D MK II to drive 6D prices down. I recieved the Canon Black Friday email and saw some interesting numbers and need the hive-mind's advice. Important Factors: I have about $1500 available to replace my camera. Current lenses are all...

Hi everyone, I have a small question about Canon's official grip for EOS 650D/700D (Rebel T4i/T5i), the BG-E8. Does it have a Rebel-style shutter release button (the hard button with a noticeable "click"), or is it a full-frame EOS style button, the so-called "soft-touch release"? Also, can you tell me whether the rest of the buttons on the grip feel the same as on the camera, or are they at least similar. Thanks in advance.
So I'm having trouble deciding which of these lenses to buy, and looking to find a new, sharp, quality general walk around lens. I've heard the Tamron is pretty comparable to the Canon 24-70mm L, and is also about half the price of the 24-105mm L I'm looking at purchasing. The canon lens is also about a third heavier; one caveat I have to add is of trying to avoid carrying too heavy of lens for daily use. If I were to buy the Tamron, I was thinking of putting the remainder I saved cost wise...

Hey guys! I've been wanting to get an M5 in place of my Rebel T4i, but every time I get hold of my old Canon I come to realize I can't let go of it. So I've decided to get a compact travel camera for landscape and casual shooting. Also, I've not used video on my T4i for all the four years I've owned it.Now the main issue is should I pay the extra 30% for a Canon M6 or will an M3 meet my needs? I take it, M6's key advantage is the improved DPAF. I'm gonna get a 15-45 kit lense and a 22/2...
I'm wondering which one is better specifically for video. I'm really debating between these cameras, but I'm just not sure. I'm looking at continuous auto focus, better video features, etc etc. I know many will suggest a camcorder, but I need the benefit of changing lenses. Thank you for any answers.
Okay, so I'm looking at getting a new camera, and I will be using it for video 99% of the time. I know many will point me to camcorders, but I absolutely need lenses and a bigger sensor for bokah. I'm in the $300 price range, and I'm debating between the t4i, nex 5t and a5100. Thanks for any responses.
I realize this is a Fujifilm forum, but I'm hoping I can get some somewhat impartial advice. I currently shoot a Canon Rebel T4i. I'm looking to purchase either the X-T2 or the Canon 6D Mark II. I realize real world reviews of the 6D Mk II are few and far between right now, but looking just at specs, the X-T2 looks like the superior camera. So, does anyone have an opinion of Fuji vs Canon's latest offering? Some info about me: I'm a hobbyist who does about 3 or 4 paid portrait shoots a year,...
