Canon EOS 5D Mark IV User Reviews

Announced Aug 25, 2016 •
30 megapixels | 3.2 screen | Full frame sensor

I just bought this beats, I owned the 7D mark II for 5 years, and definitelly a great value, before that one I owned the Canon 60D, so it was just a matter of time for me to jump to full frame, I already made some shots and used it for some works, and even though I still nedd to invest in some more glass for that baby, so far so good, I get reallly nice colors straight from the camera, it´s definitelly better than my previous cameras, can´t wait to take this one to the mountains and do some ...

I wrote a review about 2 years ago from the point of view of an amateur photographer. A bit has changed for me since then. I got really serious, immersed myself in studying light, lighting, posing and so on. I have carved out a part time business shooting weddings and people. It’s going well, I have about one wedding a month booked so far  for 2019 and considering pursuing it further. Anyway… I thought I would write a follow up review on my thoughts with the 5D4 after 1000’s of frames. So ...

5D Mark IV One-Year Review © 2018 by Marshall Goldberg Summary: This review reflects upon a year of experience with the Canon 5D Mark IV. Unlike other camera reviews, the purpose of this review is to help potential purchasers understand the experience of using the camera. I don’t cover and measure every single feature and menu item; I explain how I use the camera. While most of this review describes how I use the camera to photograph musicians, these techniques are very similar to shooting ...

We've shot well over 100 weddings with our three 5DmarkIV's and still love them. Does everything and nothing wrong. However ... two gripes 1. I much prefer Canon's AF zone mode selector on the 7DmkII — the 'collar' around the AF joystick. Why didn't they carry it over to the 5D4? Instead we get this odd magic button that's not intuitive and has poor feedback. 2. AutoISO defaults to 400 when you turn on a speedlight. Cue trombone sound effect, "whomp, whaaaaaaa" Those are two minor sins in the ...

Great DSLR from Canon. I have it for 12 months and is superb. Improved focus, dynamic range and 4K. What is wish is a flip screen like Canon 6D has. Here are some pictures from weddings: fotografii nunta

I got a refurbished 5D4 for $2380 from Canon about 3 weeks ago. I had a 5D2 and I  debated between a 5D4 and 6D2. My initial thoughts are based on reading the manual, some testing, and relatively limited use taking actual photos.  In addition to what I already knew about the camera features, I am impressed by the autofocus options and with the customization that is possible. I am  happy with the camera in general, specially coming from a 9-year old model, but I found a few relatively small ...

I have had the 5d4 for a couple of months now, and thought I would write a review in case it helps anyone trying to decide if it is the camera for them. I would actually prefer to do this review in a year when I have a better collection of pictures, but it's a review not a exhibition :-) First of all a couple of caveats. I have never owned another brand of DSLR ( I have used them though) , so my observations are only relative to what I have observed in the Canon eco system. Also, I am not a ...
