Is a full frame camera always better than an Apsc?  Is a mirrorless better than either the Apsc or the full frame?   In what situations would one be better than the other two types of cameras?

Hi, anyone purchased a M50 to replace their 5DII? My 5DII is about end of its life and I can't decide on getting a 5DIV or another FF yet (5DS2 might be coming soon, A7R3 is also on my shopping list). So a M50 as a intermediate solution seems to be a good one to me. However I'm a bit worried about it's focusing speed. Of course 5DII is not a sport camera, but I do get some good photo on high school football (soccer) and hockey (field) of my son. With Digi8 processor, and 10 years advanced in...

Hi, I have a Canon 5Dii and have reached a limit of what the ii's sensor can do in low light situations. I'm torn between the Mk iv, waiting to find out what will be in the Mk v since we're about 2 years into the Mk iv's lifespan, or the 5DR-S for its high MP sensor. I know the 5DR-S only shoots up to 6400 ISO but I wasn't sure of both the noise level at that ISO for the Mk iv vs the R-S. Having even higher ISO is great as long as the images are usable. If the R-S is useless from 3200 ISO up...

Canon RF lenses in 2018: “The Canon RF 50mm F1.2 L USM will be available in October 2018 for an estimated retail price of $2299. The Canon RF 28-70mm F2 L USM, RF 24-105mm F4 L IS USM and RF 35mm F1.8 MACRO IS STM will all be available for purchase in December 2018 for an estimated retail price of $2999, $1099 and $499.99 respectively.” The 50mm F1.2 ($2.299) is supposedly excellent, but the price will probity prohibit most amateurs. The lens isn´t stabilized. The 28-70 f 2.0 is...

Hi, I'm having some issues with my triggers and I wondered if anyone has experienced similar.  Kit: 5dmkii Bowens esprit 500 lights Yongnuo YN622C-TX  and YN622C receiver(s) Metz AF48 Problem: When taking a photo at 1/200th I get the black bar caused by the shutters. This obviously shouldn't be the case as the 5dii will sync at 1/200.  And in fact,  using my pixel king triggers it successfully syncs at 1/200.   The same issue exists (to a lesser extent, ie the black bar is much smaller)...

Hi All - I'm trying to find out what the actual shutter count is on my Canon 5d2.  I've tried 3 different apps, including FreeShutterCounter, and either they don't work on a Mac, or the count is wildly inaccurate.  (FreeShutterCounter listed 532, when I've had the camera for years and it must be up in the 10, 000's... ) Anyone have a good method for shutter counting to share?  I'm selling my 5d2 and want to give an accurate account of its life. thanks! Hi everyone, I would like to do some b roll footages and I only have a  5d mark iii and 24-70 2.8 L USM II lens  If i only can record 25fps at 1080p then what are my options to come out with smooth slow mo?  Premiere Pro :  Ctrl+R and put it 50% and then put it optical flow and render? Is this the only option because that’s not that smooth as some of the awesome YouTube video’s B rolls Thanks to everyone 😊

I have the Canon 5D Mark II with the battery grip and batteries. My question is, are both the battery grip and batteries compatible with the Mark IV? Thank you.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking for some advice and I'd really appreciate any help, tips, and tricks on how to overcome this problem next time. So I’ve bought a Canon M5 a few months ago and so far I’m loving it and I’m really satisfied with the images. Last weekend I had a chance to take it on a camping trip where I was experimenting with long exposure star trail photos. I took this image and as you can see it didn’t turn out that great. The lines are not connecting even with using the gap filling...
