the cost difference is enough to make me want to go to a6000 then when I did a comparison on the net one site actually two said the sony has slightly better image quality. When I compare sometimes the Canon has better and in trees and parks I like a6000. So whatss the deal has anyone really compared the two cameras here, I know the a6000 is not full frame but the canon is much older technology what do people here think which one I should get?

I’d like to know with manual focus and wide opened aperture f2.8 for example  (to create nice bokeh) how do you guys keep the subject in focus if the person moving forward to you or further away from you? I have a Canon 5D mark III and I’m planning to buy a filed monitor to see something as I just can’t keep anyone in focus if they’re moving somewhere abd I’m not following them rather stand at a point and they come up to me. please share your thoughts about this and help me out.

Hey, I recently purchased a Canon 5D Mark II and so far only own a 50mm f/1.8 prime (I borrow lenses from a friend whenever I have a paying gig and/or want to take a shoot more seriously.) I'd like to eventually get a wide-angle zoom and a telephoto of my own, but I've found myself in an interesting budgetary situation. I have the opportunity to buy a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L Mark I for $600, which seems like a great first move. However, I've noticed that I could probably get a third party f/2.8...

I am currently shooting with a  Canon 5D mark II. I am looking to purchase a super wide angle lens and have researched them and read various reviews. The Canon lenses that I have been considering are the 14mm, 16-35mm f2.8 and the 16-35 f4. I am also considering the Sigma 14mm and the Sigma 12-24mm or 14-24mm. At the moment I am thinking more about landscape photography but assume that architecture (interiors and exteriors) will eventually come into play. I would like to hear from those that...

I am looking for upgrading my old Canon 5d Mark II to a later version. I own several Canon L Lenses but I am finding the lack of Dynamic range and lots of noise compared to the newer products. Been doing photography as a hobby for more than 40 years. I use it for portraits, landscapes sometimes sports, nature and bird photography and some product photography. Has anyone had any experience on both models? Can anyone give me some opinions on which camera would be best to go for? I have never...

Hi there, I bought a Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens in 2011. I was one of those that wanted a new hobby, bought a good camera and ended up using it just one summer. Now it's been living it's days in a closet and it's time to pass it on. My problem is that I don't know anything about it or photo in general and that makes it hard for me to sell it too. Has anyone any  idea of how much I can sell it for or tips in general for someone who has zero knowledge about it?...

I have a Canon 5D Mark II I haven't been using and I'm thinking of getting it modified for Ha, etc. Do you need to use astro filters with a modified camera in order to get the best results? What is the difference between full spectrum modification and just H-alpha mod? I am looking at Spencer's website.

Hello, I am hoping if someone out there is able to help out with an answer. Photography is only a hobby for me so apologies in advance if my lingo is amateurish.  A bit of background, I live in the souther hemisphere and like to do a bit of astrophotography as a hobby and take photos of aurora australis.  For the past 6 months or so,  every time I have tried to do night photography, I am always getting red and blue dots all over the place in the photos and in the same spot. I have not noticed...

Not sure what to call it but there's no way to fix this myself, right? All prepared to send to repair. I've lost about 40K photos thinking I was "over asking" of the camera after moving over from a Canon 5D Mark II. Please advise.

Need help! Canon 5d Mark II So, as a newbie to the photography game, I didn't realize that the Cf card reader would be such a problem. After a shoot, I took the card out to upload the photos and had a little trouble getting it back in. So, naturally like an idiot, I pushed harder til it went in. Come to find an error and bent pins. I sent it to Canon and they gave me a 700 dollar estimate. Looking for a fix or a cheaper place to get it fixed. 2 missing pins and a few bent . One broke off and...
