Hi, As to what I said in the title I am referring to the metal ring on the body of the 5D Mark ii. I was looking at various high magnification products with LED lighting that would let me see dust on the sensor but most have a very small max focus distance. Many of them basically need the device sitting right on the item it is looking at so I need to know the distance so I can ask retailers how far away an object can be from the base of the item and still be able to reach ideal focus. There...

While not hugely important it would be nice to have a profile for the kit lens I used with the Canon XTi I bought way, way back in the day. I think it is an EF-S 18-55mm F 3.5-5.6 (no IS or other niceties.) I also am not sure (I'd have to search Lightroom to find an example) if there are lens profiles for the XTi and the 70-200mm let alone with the extender. Also, my current camera, the Canon 5D Mark ii with the EF 70-200mm F4 IS USM AND the 1.4x ii extender doesn't have a lens profile. Does...
Hi everybody, i'm sorry if this question is already asked. I'm looking for a dslr that produce good quality video (most of them does), i want to use it for some short films projects. I found a used 5d mark ii for almost 700$ with shutter counter less than 10.000 and with 50mm lens. Is it a good deal and is it still gonna work well on 2018 ? Thank you everybody this is my first post here

Focus admustment 0 I’m having difficulty deciding if there is something wrong with my 5d mark iii. The images are not as sharp as the 6d in my eye and I can’t seem to micro adjust the 5d mark iii into getting perfect focus. Images provided are cropped in for easy viewing. If there is a better platform for viewing images please...

Hello, I have just bought a lovely second hand Canon EF 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 USM II from eBay, sent from Japan to UK, which i also had to pay Customs on! I had it out today with my 5D2 full frame, just to get a feel for it, and at 28mm, there is a mark appearing at the bottom right corner of every image. This leads me to believe it's not fit for purpose. Here's a test image: Admittedly, i'm a novice, and was wondering if any kind soul could tell me what this might be and if i'm stuck with this...
Hello, Small problem of my own making. I absent-mindedly swapped an SD card between a Canon 7D and a 5D2 and now after re-formatting the card and continuing to use it, the file names for the 5D2 have continued where the file names of the 7D left off. The 7D obviously has a greater shutter count by about 3000, so i am left with a gap of about 3000 on the 5D2's file names if that makes any sense? Last 7D image was IMG_6003, so the 5D2 has continued from IMG_6004, though it's last image i took...
Hi, I'm hoping someone can clear this up once and for all. I am looking at this lens but everything i read tells me it's for an APS-C sensor camera. I have a 5D Mark 2 full frame which i want to use for astrophotography. Then i stumble upon this site, which contrary to what i've read, seems to be showing examples of photographer's work using an 18-35 F1.8 DC HSM/5D2 combo: https://explorecams.com/photos/pair/canon-eos-5d-mark-ii=sigma-18-35mm-f-1-8-dc-hsm Am i missing something here? I intend...
