Hello guys, I just recently upgraded to Canon 5D Mark IV from Canon 550D and I am currently looking for the appropriate tripod for my new, bigger, and heavier camera. My lenses are: 24-70 f/2.8L II, 16-35 f/4L, 50 f/1.2L and I'm looking to buy a telephoto lens, probably 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II in the coming future. I also have a 430EXII and my bag is a Protactic 450AW. For my Canon 550D, I have been using Dolica TX570DS Ultra Compact Tripod with Professional Ball Head and Built-In Monopod...

Panasonic Gx7 with recently brought Olympus 40-150mm zoom I have noticed similar issue very occasionally in photos taken on other cameras inc Canon 550d and even my phone camera where say the right or left side of the photo might be smeary but this is never blurred then focused then blurred. In some photos I take usually zoomed in more I think say (70mm-150) I get very noticeable banding of blurred parts of the photo. I do not think it is water or mist on the lens as I don't clean it but in...

Hi guys I am puzzled by this and I am sure one of you will have a logical explanation. My Canon SX50HS superzoom at 24mm wider than my mate's Canon 550D Sigma 17-70mm's at 17mm. I now want to an LX10 which is 24mm at widest. Will it be wider than the Sigma lens? I am trying to find a converter online but that is confusing me: https://www.digified.net/focallength/ Any clarification would really help to decide as I will be happy as long as it matches the SX50HS else will be a deal breaker for...

I bought my Canon 550D with a 18-135mm kit lens about few years back. The reason I choose 18-135mm kit is because I prefer something that allows me to zoom further. Comparing 18-135mm vs 18-55mm, besides less zoom range and lighter built, what other differences with 18-55mm compared with my current kit lens?

Hey all, Sorry if this has been asked before. I'm looking for an off camera flash to work with my Canon 550d/Rebel t2i to give a bit of extra light in my food photography  on location. I'm looking for something economical and it seems that Yongnuo 560 is quite popular.  But lot of reviews say that it doesn't work with the Canon model I have.  Can you please suggest an off camera flash model that works Canon Rebel t2i ? And what kind of transmitter do i need to buy ? Please list any gear that...

I am a armature enthusiast. I used to do a lot of travel photography but now with two young kids, they have become my main subjects. I have been using a Canon Rebel T2i with the 50mm 1.8 prime. I am happy with the image quality I get and love being able to melt out the background, but the auto focus and lack of tracking has become a problem now that the kids are very active. Also the high ISO performance is pretty dismal compared to modern cameras which is important since I shoot a lot...

80D Kit question I've been out of the the DSLR for quite a while and am about to pull the trigger on an 80D.   I have some USM lenses, and was really wondering about the STM lenses.   I"m coming from a Rebel T2i, so it's been a while.    From the reviews I've seen, it seems the STM is totally worth it for shooting video but I wanted to get some feedback from the pros (you all!).   My video needs are occasional (kids at school, some high school sports, etc). I'm not looking to be the next Tim...

I have seen a few stills that are corrupt when uploaded off of SD cards in my new 80D. Cards have been used without error for a few years in a T2i. When viewing on iMac Finder directly on the cards, In one, there is only a few lines, in the other, the top 1/4 of the image included is visible, but below that there is no change in the data. When looking at the same frames in the camera they look ok. Attempting to import them into Apple Photos or Aperture they fail because of error. These frames...

Hello! I have owned a Rebel T2i for a few years now and never got around to properly learning what's what, other than the trusty automatic setting on the dial.. Food styling has become my new favourite pastime, and I figured now is the best time to really sit down and get comfortable with my Rebel. I will be shooting both flatlay/overhead shots, as well as some nice macro shots- I'd say at 25-45 degrees. I would be very grateful if anyone could recommend me a versatile lens that does both as...
