Hi and thank-you so much for reading and considering my post!! I am beginner so I have posted here - if you think I should post in the Canon EOS forum please say so! For a number of years I have used my sister-in-laws Canon EOS 550D with her 55-250mm lens (and 18-55mm lens). I adore the results I got with this camera, in particular: -the warm, vibrant colour palette (in contrast to the cool feel I got from an old Nikon DSLR which I hated) -the sports mode (I have a wonderful photo which...

I have a Canon T2i and my friend gave me Godox TT600 speed light since I want to learn photography with flash. The problem in the flash control menu I cannot set the External flash func. setting. When I tried it always was shown this message "This menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or flash's power is turned off. I checked Flash power on and I can use the flash but cannot access this menu.  Thank you for reading this Message :)

Hi, So I've been experimenting with different modes on my camera, and I've been trying to get good, fast-action pictures of my dog while fetching a ball. I thought it would be easy. Oh, boy was I wrong. My biggest issue it keeping things in focus. I've tried to manually do it, but she's [the dog] is too fast, and therefore it is too fast for my to adjust the focus. Sometimes I'm lucky and a good photo comes out, but other times, not so much. I've been using "Sports" mode for these photos,...

hello everyone, here to ask your opinion about canon cameras. I am upgrading my camera and looking between the canon 5d mark 2/3 and 6d mark 2. what do you reckon to be better between these two and why? i have a crop frame one for now and really need to have a camera with full frame, with a great sensor that can allow me to print keeping an amazing quality, (I have recently used the 6d mark 1 and by my own surprise noticed that the files created by the camera where not that bigger than my...

This is an observation on my part: Full-frame DSLRs were/are the crown king and APS-C were/are the red-head step sister.  But in the last couple of years APS-C sensors 'sucked less', their technology advanced to a point the line between an older full-frame and newer APS-C has now blurred.  Sure modern full-frame still reigns supreme but one thing I have noticed over the years from owning a Sony-V3 to Canon Rebel EOS T2i, to Canon EOS 70D to my current Canon EOS 5DM4, unless you are shooting...

Hi, I'm new to the forms, and photography in general. I currently have Canon Rebel T2i with two lenses. I'm pretty sure these are the focus lengths: 0.25/0.8ft 1.5/4.9ft. It's a great camera, and has done just about everything that I could ask for, but I wan't to upgrade. I only started taking photography seriously about 8 months ago.  Budget: A tight $650 :-( Camera: I have never used a camera that is not Canon. I don't really trust the other brands, but I'm all open to suggestions. I also...

Hi Gurus, I need some advise on the best way to convert my 35mm slide collection to digital images, approx 1500 slides. This will be a one-time activity. My initial thinking was to buy a good quality scanner for the job. I'm told a more cost-effective way, with possibly better quality results could be achieved using my Canon EOS Rebel T2i camera with a Macro Lens. I was told a Nikon ES-1 adapter lens is the way to go. I'm a rookie in this area and would be grateful for any advise on the best...

Hi guys So i used to shoot a lot of pics and occasional video, but ive become rusty, and so ive pulled out my trusty 550d to try and upskill a bit. I've been trying to shoot with my 550D and shoulder spider rig and it's just not fit for purpose for me. My key complaint about the 550d video is the truly horrifying aliasing and compression artifacts all over the video. I mean the image stabilization being non existent is not my favourite either, and focusing on the fly ruins a shot. Now, in an...
