Dear Canonisti, I am currently having a hefty love affair with Olympus' mirrorless M10. Nevertheless, I feel that under many circumstances my Canon gear gave me at least as nice color rendition. I mainly shot my 450D, 50D, and last 550D (T2i) in "standard" picture mode. Now I wonder: Will any modern Canon DSLR (or maybe even EOS-M) have more or less the same nice color rendition, or did things change over the years? Actually from time to time I check image galleries, e.g. here at dpreview;...
Hey There Everyone, I'm having a problem with my camera focusing on sports mode for my Canon T2i. For some reason it stopped focusing in this mode. I never dropped my camera or did anything to it to cause this. Not sure what the reason is but anyhow I'm wondering how I can fix this or if it's even fixable. I know it's not the lens because I've switched it out with another lens that I barely use and the sports mode focus doesn't work on that one either. The focus does work in other modes like...
Hi everyone, my first post here although i've been an avid reader of the forums and website for the past 5 years when looking for answers. I'm looking to buy my first full frame, coming from a Canon 550D and Fuji X-Pro 1. They've been tremendous cameras but i'm wanting to move up, it is not a need, purely a want.I'm looking at a second hand Nikon D700 with what seems to be a very low shutter count and in fantastic condition. I already have a Nikon 50mm 1.8D that was my brothers and my...
My Canon 550D's liveview does not work with external flash. I have looked on line without success is there anyway to get this to work? If not what is the cheapest Canon that should work?I have tried Yongnuo YN-14EX Macro Ring Flash, Neewer® *COLOR-SCREEN* E-TTL and Yongnuo YN-560 II Flas.I am not very optimistic but maybe someone knows what to do.
Hi guys, I am new to the page even though I have been reading a lot of good advice here. I bought this t2i / 550d with 18-55 lens of new seller on ebay for over 100 bucks, it arrived in horrible shape but for the price it's fair I think. Seller did not tell me the built-in flash will not work. Tried different modes, it does not make a sound or provide error code, just wouldn't pop up.Email him, no answer. I checked the flash control, it said menu can not be display, external flash is attached...
I hope soon to upgrade from my Canon T2i to (among other things) another camera that has clean HDMI output. However, I am looking for an external monitor that I can also use with the T2i as well as the new one (the T2i not having a clean HDMI output), therefore I am looking at a Liliput Q7 Monitor with the crossover feature. I assume the crossover feature will allow me to use the monitor with the T2i, but I am unsure if I will be able to view the video footage I am shooting FULL SCREEN on...
Good morning! I have been shooting for years now, starting with a Rebel XT, now with a T2i. I've always been passionate about photography, but have never had the resources to splurge on upgrading the body, or buying quality lenses. I took this past year off, letting the camera collect dust, and I finally want to get back into it... with some new gear of course... I'd like your opinions. Should I upgrade from my 550d to perhaps a 60d or 70d, maybe even a 7d? I hear that the 550d is a very...
