I have a "0.43x Wide Angle (with Macro) High Definition Lens". For using this as a Macro lens, I need to remove the Wide angle portion and use only the Macro portion of the lens. I am trying to buy a "58mm Lens Filter Kit for Canon EOS EF", so that I can attach this to the Macro portion. Now, the Macro part has a thread size of ΙΈ58 mm on one end, where you attach the lens to your Camera Lens. Since I detached the Wide Angle Portion of the Lens, I do not know the thread size of the other end...

Is the manual focusing for M3 any different than what it is on the M(1)?  Does M3 have focus peaking without having to install ML?  I recently installed focus peaking on my M(1), and find it less than reliable.  (Maybe I'm doing something wrong). If M3 does does not have this feature, does it have any other manual focus aides?  My T2i has a white dot and beep when in focus manually. Thanks

I have been through the manual for my T2i a number of times and cannot find how to shoot videos while using the viewfinder rather than the LCD on the back of the camera. The last few times I tried to shoot videos of my daughter playing soccer, sunlight reflection off the LCD was so bad I had no idea what would be recorded. Thanks in advance for any help some one might provide, Jim

Hi, when in live view with a 550D, is there a shortcut to center the rectangle on the LCD, both in normal view and zoom/manual assist?  I want to be able to quickly get back to the center, but if I use the arrow buttons then never know if I truly am or a few clicks to the side of the center.

Hi, all, I have had my Canon 550D since 2010 and used it quite often (around 10,000 counted) for travel until the end of 2014 when I bought a wee Sony RX100. So this 550D has been mostly for garden photos and videos since then. Now my RX100 has clicked more than 12,000 and I'm thinking to sell it on eBay. However, I still need a travel camera. Looking around options, a pancake lens plus a small DSLR is a good choice. I think to use the 550D for a while. Is there any other options? Your...

I have a T2i and mostly shoot landscape.  I currently have the Sigma 10-20mm 4-5.6 and I find it's probably the lens I use the most.  Problem is i'm not real happy with the image quality.  I would like a sharper lens and am considering an upgrade.  I have the Sigma 30mm 1.4 and the Canon 50mm 1.8 and both seem to give me a better quality picture and would like something of similar quality, just wider. The competition seems to be the Canon 10-18 (Ken Rockwell seems to love this lens, is he...

Hello guys, I just recently upgraded to Canon 5D Mark IV from Canon 550D and I am currently looking for the appropriate tripod for my new, bigger, and heavier camera. My lenses are: 24-70 f/2.8L II, 16-35 f/4L, 50 f/1.2L and I'm looking to buy a telephoto lens, probably 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L II in the coming future. I also have a 430EXII and my bag is a Protactic 450AW. For my Canon 550D, I have been using Dolica TX570DS Ultra Compact Tripod with Professional Ball Head and Built-In Monopod...

Panasonic Gx7 with recently brought Olympus 40-150mm zoom I have noticed similar issue very occasionally in photos taken on other cameras inc Canon 550d and even my phone camera where say the right or left side of the photo might be smeary but this is never blurred then focused then blurred. In some photos I take usually zoomed in more I think say (70mm-150) I get very noticeable banding of blurred parts of the photo. I do not think it is water or mist on the lens as I don't clean it but in...

Hi guys I am puzzled by this and I am sure one of you will have a logical explanation. My Canon SX50HS superzoom at 24mm wider than my mate's Canon 550D Sigma 17-70mm's at 17mm. I now want to an LX10 which is 24mm at widest. Will it be wider than the Sigma lens? I am trying to find a converter online but that is confusing me: https://www.digified.net/focallength/ Any clarification would really help to decide as I will be happy as long as it matches the SX50HS else will be a deal breaker for...
