Hi, I started photographing with my dad's old 350d (I know, it's ancient), and kinda of tried everything you can do with it, but I simply suffer when I have to use ISO 400 or more, and so on. So I decided to buy a new body, (and I'll go with canon cause I have 3 lenses) and saw a great price for the 700d on Amazon (450€ body only). But then I found out how much better the 750d is, and it's a nice deal as well. After that I realized that it's almost time for new models, so my question is,...

So I am currently using a Sony A7 that I borrow from work. I have always been a really intertested in photography since 2004, and I have a old almost busted but dearly loved Canon 350D that I have been using. Now I have gotten a taste for video and since this camera was available I thought, why the hell not. But I am having problems getting this camera to produce anything better than high grade VCR quality video. Anyway, here is a link to a test video . Here are my settings: Manual, f 2.2,...

My last camera was a 350D and since then I've got by using my girlfriends 1000D, 600D or resorting to various iPhones. I'd like to get a camera again and have a couple of Canon lenses but do I give up the ability to swap lenses in favour of the convenience of the Sony or Leica? I kind of want a 'reportage' camera whatever that is but would like to zoom as well as a flat lens. Will the non-SLRS cut it? Love to hear your thought.

A friend is having trouble with a Canon 350D & a Tamron 70-300AF lens. Both units are over 8yrs old & worked ok for a short while, then just stopped working. He says he gets an 'error' message, which when he checked the Canon manual, showed a compatibility issue. This isn't the case, as it was working ok for a while. He has cleaned the contacts with an eraser but still won't work. Any suggestions? TIA --lee uk.There are old pilots, & there are bold pilots, but there are no old bold pilots."I...

Hi, I've used a Canon 350d for years but only ever in automatic mode (shame on me - still wanting to find time to learn!) I find it too bulky to carry around a lot and it's now difficult to upload as windows 10 won't recognise it and Canon aren't providing drivers for it. So, I'm looking for an easy-to-use, easy to upload and easy-to-carry camera that takes good portraits of my kids (my main use).  It doesn't have to be really small just perhaps not as bulky as my last one.  I only have a...

Hello guys!I have a Canon 70D body with a Tamron 24-70/2.8 vc usd lens. And I have a big problem. At about 50-70mm with this lens I can not make a sharp picture not only wide open, but neither at f8-11 apertures. It's a same story with LV too. So not the focus accuracy is the problem.I have sent it to the service, but they said, it's in perfect condition, it just does not fit on apsc.BUT (!) on a lot of forums, and in youtube videos, everybody says that this is one of the perfect lens on apsc...

I see that there is a new version of DPP available.  4.3 I am still using the 350D (XT). What version of DPP should I be using - I find some of the updates confusing?  I get the feeling that I am updating the software for no good reason as my old camera may not be compatible with the newer versions. --Regards,Lionelhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/lionel_johnson/'It may be that your purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others.'

Dear all, I recently purchased a 40mm EF lens f/2.8 stm. To my surprise when I mount it on my canon 350D, the light metering seams to be all off. In automatic setting It takes pictures that are very over exposed. It also insists on using the flash when it's not necessary. I can make a good picture when I adjust shutter speed myself (Tv), but I would like to use the automatic settings (the green rectangle). This is now impossible because it over exposes everything Is this a known issue? Is...
