I own this camera for two month now after one year with 100D and thirteen years with 40D. In 100D i didn't like its sensor because dynamic range is very disappointed. Canon fix it in 200D with new best 24mpx crop-sensor they have. Now 200D is lightweight camera with rotating screen, confusing but usable wireless options, better grip and noticeably better sensor. But Canon still using this old cheap phase AF system with one cross-point and that's why i give this camera 4.5 points.

I tried the SL2 out this Winter. As a long time Canon shooter I was looking to get back into lenses having taken a PowerShot only hiatus with the G1X III. The SL2 does not disappoint. Some notable thoughts: 1. AF is largely improved over former 9-pt AF offerings even though it's still 9-pt AF; the SL2 for example is much smarter than the slightly cheaper T6; it's very noticeable as I shot the two side by side and the SL2 easily bests it. For this alone I'd recommend the SL2 for anyone ...

I don't do much video so this is what I want for a travel camera, a cross between my 80D and M5... On a recent trip to SE Asia my carry-on was over weight!! it had my 80D a couple lenses flash and M3 and it's lenses plus a laptop...  So next trip it will be the M3 plus SL2 and netbook....

Just got it a week ago and so far I like it. I am used to mirror less cameras and getting used to a Digital SLR Camera is a bit of a challenge. Its coming along with the help of Canon Support. I wanted a camera with least amount of fancy features I will not use and after checking the specs side by side this camera came out on top. The price was also a driving point and of course I can use EF and EFS Lens. So as I have a little more experimenting to do to get it working where i want it. Will ...

I picked up a SL2 body on Friday from my local neighborhood camera store, Pro Photo Supply in Portland. I purchased the SL2 because it is the smallest native EF mount for use with my compact EF primes (EF 28mm f/2.8 IS, EF 40mm f/2.8 STM, and EF 50 f/1.8 STM), and to compliment my existing bodies (6D and M). We already know the sensor is one of Canon’s best and more than good enough for just about any task. Adding an updated swivel touch screen and wireless connectivity help make the SL2 a ...

I bought the DSLR from Amazon on July 21, and it arrived on July 24. After leaving photography for a while and switching from my personal Nikon D3000 to this, I personally think it's a good upgrade. I'm sure every one here is aware of the specs, but I just want to say that the Dual Pixel AF System is really great and makes up for the lack of focus points (and cross-type focus points). My view of this DSLR is that it's a vloggers/social media camera. With more than double the battery life of ...
