Asking this for a friend of mine. She's got a 400D (2006/7?), plus 18-55 & 75-300 (both non-IS) from the same period and a (recent) 50mm. As her budget is about 500€, it could (only) buy her (in the Netherlands, where she lives) a 200D or a 800D (or some used, ofcourse). She uses the 18-55 primarily, shoots jpg only and is not into action photos. Q1: Is there any compelling reason to advice her to go for the 800D in stead of the 200D? Q2: If bought with a (new) kit lens, any IQ difference...

Is it much smaller as I have read elsewhere? On DPR the 100d review says 95% and  0.87 x but the 200d is 95% and 0.54 x --When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained.Mark Twain

(Canadian, which is about forty bucks, US) Seriously, I've started making short videos of local artists on my Samsung S7, but am looking for more memory, more autonomy, better sound, and better image. My budget is about 1500 bucks ;If I find what I needfor less, great !  I do not want a camcorder, because I'm an outdoor guy, and I want something small, and with some weather-resistance.  I just can't picture myself, fly fishing, with a camcorder . I read  DPreview's reccomandations for best...

I'm a street photographer. My 100d is great in good light but atrocious in low light for city night street photography. Iso 6400 is literally appalling and focus in low light even with my 24mm f2.8 stm is very poor. Stunning daylight set up and has bagged me some great shots but come dusk let alone night it is just atrocious. Is the 200d much better in poor light? If not I'll likely go back to Fuji as I like a small compact apsc set up and was happy with my x-100T. Had a Nikon d5300 which was...

Hello, I've spent quite a while searching for an app for Android that has intervalometer function for EOS200D/Rebel SL2 via BT/WiFi. Helicon free app doesn't work for me for unknown reason. I haven't tried any apps that supports only cable because my cable is broken and I haven't bought new so far. Anybody got a suggestion on app for Android that is capable of releasing shutter in intervals wirelessly on EOS200D/Rebel SL2, please? Cheers!

HNY (well almost). My wife’s SL2 back-focusses enough to be noticeable compared to the same pic through live view. This with the standard 18-55 lens. I have the opportunity to exchange it or send it in to have it examined by Canon Canada. My question is does anyone have experience having their camera serviced for that reason or if they got a replacement what are the odds of the same problem on the new body. I have read that the tolerances are not that strict when manufactured and recall DPR...

I bought the canon eos 200d (or rebel 2) with the standard 18-55mm (compact IS) kit lens a few weeks ago, but with all photos I have the same problem. When I look at the photos on the computer and the size is 100%, it does not look sharp, which you can see on the photos below (f/5,6 1/80, ISO 250, 55mm). What can cause this? Do you think this is movement from me, because of the file type (I take the photographs in jpeg format), quality of the camera, settings or something else that can cause...

Probably a mirrorless, as I already have a small P&S, but might get rid of it if there is one that is really good. P&S or mirrorless.    Pano LX100 2 Pano ZS200 Pano mirrorless Sony RX100 VA or VI Sony A6500 Canon Rebel SL2 Canon M50 (or is it M100) Fuji XT3?  Not sure I will spend this much. X100F Olympus mirrorless I really dislike the Pano ZS100 too small. Do any work with glasses on? Any others

I am a beginner photographer. I am looking to upgrade from T1 . I am looking at the 80D or the SL2. Which is better for family photography. I am not worried about video. Will use it for family portraits and sport photos. Which should I get ?

I just bought a Sigma 18-300 mm lens for my Canon SL2 so I don't have to constantly switch back and forth between my Canon 18-55 mm and 55-250 mm lenses. However, I quickly discovered that the Sigma lens zoomed to 300 mm doesn't magnify anywhere close as the Cannon lens zoomed to just 250 mm (see images below for comparison). Can someone explain what's going on? And is there a reasonably priced lens out there that can actually replace those two Canon lenses? Sigma lens zoomed to 300mm Canon...
