On or about April 3, 2020, Canon made available new firmware for both the Pro-100 and the Pro-10. For each, the blurb with the downloader on the Canon website says simply, "To improve the printer quality." Obviously the Pro-1000 recently got the major firmware upgrade that increased the maximum paper length from 676mm (26.6 in) to 1200mm (47.2 in). I'm sure a lot of Canon users would like similar updates for the Pro-100 and Pro-10. But has anyone actually determined what these updates...
Hi guys, Please can someone help. I have just got the Canon Pro 10s and I have just installed Canon ink cartridges. I noticed that one of the cartridges had leaked on my hand. Just a couple of small dryish patches. So I took it out and could see just slight ink residue around the edges where the ink comes out. I put it back into the printer for now. Is this okay to leave it, or do I need to do anything with the cartridge, like clean it? Thank you.
Happy Holidays to all. I've been away for awhile with family obligations, so please bear with a couple of questions. It's finally time to replace an aging Epson 1280 which has given me good prints, but since I didn't print regularly, clogged often and I would deal with that. So questions: I was told that Canon printers such as Pro-100 and Pro-10 preheat ink before it flows to the nozzles, which Epson does not. Is that true? I have a small investment in Epson paper. Can Epson paper be used in...

I have a Canon pro 10s and an Epson xp 15000 and I'm going on holidays for just under a month and was wondering what effect that will have on my printers. I have read that ink can dry out in them in just a couple weeks if they're idle. I do live in Australia so the temp will be warmer as well while i'm away. Should I leave these printers on or off? should I pay someone to print a couple things? what measures do you take while away for an extended amount of time? thanks in advance! -Rhi

Buddies, I have been regularly making prints using the Pro 10 with canon paper (Matte, Glossy and Luster sometimes) and I realize I am running out of ink soon. I have purchased Precision color ink with OEM cart which I am going to do the refill. However, I realized that the Precision color website do not offer ICC profile for their ink for Matte and Glossy paper of Canon. I wonder if there is any source that I can explore to get the ICC profile to optimize the color management once I get...

Hello everyone, I own my Pro 10 about 2 years now and I use it mainly to print graphics on matte uncoated papers.Recently, When sending an image with a solid color Cyan'ish background it prints darker at the beginning of the image and gradually becomes brighter, it looks like a horizontal gradient starting from the bottom edge. The same thing happens also when I print a layout of 4 x A5 copies on one sheet of A3+. each of the images starts with a horizontal darker color, so it doesn't seem to...
Hi DP community, I used to print on tissue paper with an Epson 3800 and was quite satisfied with the result. I taped the four corner of the tissue paper onto a harder paper and adjusted the platen gap to « widest » so the print head wouldn’t scrape the tissue paper while doing its job. I was also printing in draft mode so the tissue paper would not get soaked with ink. Since I no longer have access to the Epson 3800, I am looking to buy a printer to continue my project. As I print in draft...
Hi, I've had some older Canon printers, e.g. MP980, and had problems with large amounts of ink being wasted on deep cleaning. The problem stems from the fact that I do ink prints rather sparsely, perhaps a few times a year. (But when I do them, I really want the quality that inkjets can provide as opposed to lasers). So, when I finally switch on the printer after a long period, it ALWAYS performs a deep cleaning. In effect, I suffer a deep cleaning once per "print project". I estimate that...

Can you recommend a low, inexpensive stand that is just big enough, and is strong enough, to support a Canon Pro-10 or Pro-100 or similar printer? These printers are just over 27 inches wide and 15 inches deep, and weigh about 44 lbs. I want something that raises the printer just enough to provide about 5 or 6 inches of clearance underneath. I'd much prefer something with rubber feet, and not with wheels. I don't want something tall, nothing much over 12 inches tall. Unfortunately I can't...
