Just got this extender from ebay and quite happy for the moment. The price difference for the new mkiii just does not seem to hold. Got some great shots birding, but be aware that AF is rather slow, more than half i would say. Panning for flights, or any other considerable subject movement will lead to a series of missed shots. Nevertheless great gear for your buck.
