The Canon EF 400mm F2.8L IS III USM is, as of September 2018, the lightest 400mm F2.8 lens in the world. The lens has a five-stop image stabilizer, focus lock/activate controls, nine-blade diaphragm and ring-type USM motor. The minimum focus distance is 2.5m (98") and the maximum magnification is 0.17x. The lens has fluorite and super UD elements, as well as Air Sphere, Super Spectra and fluorine coatings.
