Hi, I have a Canon 200D with 18-55mm and 55-250mm lens. I am considering buying a tripod that fits in the cabin bag (going for Europe travel) and also can suport the wheight of my camera with my 55-250mm at his maximum... I have my eyes locked on Manfrotto compact action... Do you guys have any other suggestions or it is a good choice considering i am a "newbie" in photography...i am not thinking to spend a lot of money. Thanks :P

Hi, i have an EOS M100, and i recently got really hyped about wanting to shoot wildlife. To be honest, the most important factor is price.(this lens is about 210-230$ if i saw correctly) I would love to buy a bigger mm lens, but sadly (as far as i know) i would need like 400, or 600mm to shoot wildlife properly aaand that is not exactly the budget i have. So i found the mentioned lens, and it seemed like a decent one to begin practising with. I would probably take it to the Zoo at first, then...

Hello there, I have been reading way to many threads and comments and I would like to finally pull the trigger but I'm honestly not sure in a few points and I'm hoping to get some of my answers here. This will be my first tripod as I'm starting with photography as I saved some money to get a proper gear. I have Canon 80D with 18-55 IS STM and 55-250 IS STM to start with. Wide lens is in consideration as I would like to photograph mainly landscapes. And a decent zoom (and probably a bit...
In this thread, I debated options for puffins and other pictures in Iceland: https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4398420 I was all set to go with renting the FE 70-300mm, but looking up the size and the weight of the lens put me off! I try and keep my kit very small while traveling, as the smaller it is the more likely you are to leave the hotel with it. So I've ordered the MC-11 and 55-250 STM lens combo (the former "on sale" for $150 from Amazon and the latter refurbished from Amazon...
I use Canon EOS 77d with 55-250 IS STM f4-5.6 lens. I take photos in basketball events and have focusing issues. For instance, I took these photos AI SERVO mode, f4 1/500 3200 ISO, and as you can see the camera lose its focus frame by frame. I don't know whether because of lens or body. I don't shake or move my camera as soon as possible. But I usually face with that problem almost 1/3 of my photos. Any idea what could be the reason behind it? Settings, lens, body etc. Thanks
Well, I hike with this lens routinely and use it A LOT, so I'm not surprised, but it finally happened: The sharp white speck above and to the left of the glob of flares, is a big dust particle in my trusty lens. I've been inside several lenses before including my 55-250 IS MkI when I had it, all without incident, so I'm sure I'll be fine doing this one, but I like to watch a video first and I don't see any videos on taking this one apart. Same as the old ones, or do I need to know anything?

Hi, I'm concerned about the sharpness of my lens. Can you guys help me see if there's anything wrong with it? Lens: Canon EF-S 55-250mmBody: Canon Rebel T6i I use autofocus on the center point, and I do believe that I use settings that are generally supposed to come out with sharp photos, such as an appropriate aperture + 1/FL, etc. I'm still within the return period, and am wondering where the problem lies: lens, body, or perhaps it's just operator error? Or perhaps all of these images are...

Hi, I just bought a new Canon 55-250mm IS STM lens and everything is working fine except that when I am in video mode and I am zooming, the lens makes a rattling/clicling/motor-like noise that is picked up by the on-board mic when shooting a video in a quiet environment. The weird thing is that this noise is not there in picture mode when zooming, only when shooting a video and zooming together. It is NOT the IS or AF noise since I also hear this one (but it is really subtle) and when I turn IS...
