Hi All, I am interested in either the 35mm or 40mm lens off of kijiji site. I noticed there are a lot of 40mm lenses and they are MUCH cheaper than their current retail price. I'm concerned about the quality of these 40mm lenses. The used 35mm lens seems to be a much older lens but they are priced almost double the 40mm used. Which one would you go for? I have a Canon 6D. Not looking to do portraits. Interested in getting into video and for traveling (light). thoughts?
I am a generally satisfied owner of a second-hand 5D Mark 2. It was given to me as payment in kind for some freelance design work, along with an EF 100mm Macro (non-L) and an old EF 35mm (the 1990's design). Just bought a 6D with 24-105mm f4 L zoom, very happy with it. However, I am thinking of switching to all prime lenses as my work shifts away from fine art to more portraits.
