I have a very old, but good condition EF 70-200mm f/2.8 IS USM (version i), that has been likely my most used lens.  I wasn't convinced at the time that the ii was enough of an upgrade to change, and then the iii is kind of a ii+, so same thing.   I was waiting to see what the R version was like, and I'm not particularly swayed as I don't care for the telescoping front.  Add to this that I do have some bonus money and could do any of the following: 1) keep the version i as I don't really have...

Hi all,   this is a question for owners of the Canon EF 200mm f/2L IS lens.   I am about to get one (used) and I was wondering what monopod would you suggest to get with it? I have the 70-200 2.8 IS mkII (which will be sold) and I can hand-hold it for quite some time, but the 200 f/2 weights more or less 1 kg more and the shape is a bit more awkward... hence the idea of getting the monopod.   Please understand that I am set on the lens, I am looking for feedback only on the support...
