I have a few Canon DSLR and L lenses but would like to have a compact camera for indoors when grandkids come over. Had Canon SX730 HS which sucks in low light and just bought a bridge Lumix FZ80 which I think is even worst and will be returned to the store. what would you recommend? dont want to spend a fortune on it and if it has a good zoom for outdoors it would be even better.

I just picked up a SX740HS, after spending most of my time with the iPhone camera. Size was critical, and camera works well Any suggestions, on a very small bag/pouch.  Looking for a very minimal protection bag rob --Leica Dlux 4, Canon 40d and 24 to 105

I am very new to this. I have a full-time job and I the research is consuming me and my brain is numb. Hopefully I can benefit from others who already possess much knowledge. I don't have a smart phone so I want to buy a camera that takes good pics in low lighting. I currently have a ancient HP 7 MP camera. It doesn't take good pics indoors. I have determined through research that a large sensor is required if you want to get good pics in low lighting. Since I don't have a smart phone, my...

I am looking for a small compact zoom and I haven't decided between the Sony DSC-HX90V and the Powershot sx730 or sx740 and I haven't seen any other pocket sized cameras that have as much zoom.    What I like about both the Sony HX90V and the Canon sx740 is that they have some kind of stabilizer mechanism which is a really big deal to me for videos. Try keeping your hand steady while doing zoom shots. It's pretty hard.   If any one has any better recommendations or better cameras that just...

Looking into buying a new camera and as I see more and more features on the cameras it becomes a game. For only a hundred more I can have this. But for another hundred more I can get this. And so on. I started looking at the Canon PowerShot SX730 HS Black and ended up looking at the Sony RX100 V and the And the LUMIX 4K Digital Camera ZS200. I'm leaning towards the ZS200 as all these cameras would be great in a fanny pack in the parks in Disney (we are going in May) but we also be nice to...

Just joined today.  My wife and I are seniors (65) and both have P&S cameras (Lumix FZ200 and Canon SX730), typically shooting in AI , never in Manual.  Plan to take a course or 2 at local CC to get better/smarter, especially for pics of grandkids.  Back in 2014 we went to Katmai NP to view coastal griz with a pilot/guide out of Homer, and he kept his big Canon DLR on a monopod, walking 8 miles in 13 hours, and never seemed tired.  We have a QSX Versipod2 monopod, and I think it might be good...

Hey guys, buying my first camera for an expedition to Cambodia next year and I really wanted a decent compact camera to take with me. So basically after a bit of research and looking in stores, the PowerShot SX730 HS looked perfect for me but has anybody got any other suggestions for a 400 dollar camera that is fairly durable? And secondly, for any of these kinds of cameras, how much can they take? can they survive a small splash or are they very vulnerable? Also, my apologies for such a...

I recently purchased a Canon Powershot SX730 hs and was wondering if there is a way to do time lapse with it. Anyone know?
