Hi, A small help from an SX50 owner. I need the outside diameter of the lens barrel (should be under 67mm I think), the outside diameter of the lens body (moves in zoom) and the length of the lens body that is outside the barrel, once it is on the telephoto end. I want to compare with SX60, trying to fit custom adapters... Thanks for listening Stelios
With all the major advances in still camera video capabilities being talked about of late, I am starting to wonder which, if any, of my cameras would be best at capturing video? Because I really never use that feature. Here are my current cameras: Pentax K-3 Sony NEX-7 Olympus Stylus 1 Canon SX50 HS Panasonic LF-1 I've heard the NEX-7 is good at video, but that its sensor can't take the heat. But other than that, I don't know. One time I videotaped a short dance performance with the SX50...
When using my Canon SX50 HS for various motorsport events, I have tried using the High Speed Burst function available under the SCN setting. I have been happy with the result except that the shots are in 4:3 format rather than the 16:9 format I have selected elsewhere. When I try to change the format under the SCN setting, it is 'greyed-out' when High Speed Burst is selected. Is there any way to change to wide-screen? Thanks
I do a fair amount of travelling so I take photos of exteriors (i.e., cities, buildings, etc) and interiors (inside churches, museums, etc.). I'm looking for a good P&S camera in the $300 to $400 price range. I just got a Canon SX50 to replace my Canon SX240. I wanted a big zoom to capture indoor sports shots using the burst mode. Burst mode is important because if gives more flexibility to capture the a good action shot. However, I am little disappointed because a lot of the pictures are blurred. I checked the specs on the pictures and noticed some are being shot at 1/15 shutter speed. I am sure it is because the camera is automatically adjusting the F stop at 5.6 and the shutter speed at 1/15...
