We bought this camera to replace/upgrade our 3.2MP Olympus Stylus. However, we have been extremely dissapointed with the qaulity of the pictures vs. the older camera. One of our biggest frustrations is the amount of Red Eye in all of our pictures taken since we bought this camera. We use the "Red Eye Reduction" setting but this doesn't really seem to help. I have never met such a fragile electronic device! I bought one of these cameras about 3 weeks ago (actually it was bought for me by my family who all clubbed together to buy it as a 40th Birthday present). I found it easy to use and very compact. It also took pretty good pictures - although there were a number of niggles with these. No joy . . . My ratings are compared to full sized prosumer models, because that’s all I’ve had previous experience with. This may be long because I’ve spent a lot of trying to make peace with this camera. In summary, as my ratings show, I’m not happy with it. I really wanted to love this camera. It is a nice size, has image stabilization, a big LCD and had very good reviews. Now I just wish that I had never bought it. Problems: Within a couple of months this camera had to be repaired twice. There have been a number of problems: 1. The screen is very fragile and cracks/scratches/smudges very easily 2.
