Hi, I have a quick question about the G7 X Mark II. Some websites state that slowest shutter speed is 15 seconds, while others state it's 30 seconds. I only know that the bulb mode is limited to about 4 minutes. Which one is true? Thanks in advance!

I'm thinking of buying one of these as a take-everywhere camera to complement my APS-C ILC system. General, all-purpose types of shot - landscapes, flower close-ups, portraits/photos of the kids etc. Would you guys recommend this camera? It looks good on paper, but I've read some negative reviews about jpeg performance - problematic sharpening halos etc. Is this anything to worry about? --http://instagram.com/thoughtful_joe

my g7x ii screen has quite flat boring colours compared to my fuji xq2 or x70 is there any way to change the colours, i have tried more and less screen light which just washes out or darkens the screen, and the nature setting gives only a tiny change, which is nothing compared to the vivid clarity of my fuji cameras, which looks both more realistic and vivid, far easier to see contrast and focus too also i find it really hard to autofocus on close subjects like flowers even in sunlight,...

So recently, I have noticed that when I film and play back my videos there seems to be a lag in them from when I first filmed videos. I did drop my camera and am wondering if this could be why it's doing that but could there be another reason why? In other words, when I move around the camera the video doesn't seem to keep up with how fast I'm moving as sharply anymore.

Hey! I have the Canon G7x ii and love it for vlogging! However, whenever I do sit down videos, the quality sucks.. The image is not sharp at all. When I edit the video on my Retina display I get so bothered by the low quality. I am filming in video mode for sitdowns. I researched sooo many times, but all I can find are the settings for vlogging (as this is marketed as THE vlogging camera). Can anyone help me with the settings for sitdown and tutorial videos? The camera won't be moving - only...

Does anyone have the issue of reading the memory card of PowerShot G7x ii in the Mac and Mac shows that the video file is mov. not mp4.? If so, does anyone know how to change mov. to mp4. for PowerShot G7x ii?

I'd like to upgrade from my G7X II and am considering a 250D or 850D. I have quite specific requirements, which I hope will help people guide me in my choice. My hobby is photographing bugs in my garden (I may go further afield when I run out of species!). Ideally, I would saunter down the garden on the way to hang the washing out with my camera over my shoulder 'just in case', look into the borders and be able to snap a tiny hoverfly at close range, or a butterfly over head height at the top...

I tried the sonyrx100V for 1 day and fell in love and since I am focused only on photography, I know that the IV in this aspect is the same. Meanwhile the G7X II lowered the price (499.99 euros) and the sony camera by 514.82. The difference is not much but it left me indecisive. Between the two compact cameras, which one has more "professional" photos with more blur, good colors, etc? They are so similar ... Good blur of Sony RX100 Mark V

Hi I was thinking of getting the rx100va or the canon g7x iii. Do either have a facility for transferring easily to the cloud direct from the camera?  I want a decent compact camera but also want to edit on the go on my phone (have my cake and eat it)..
