After reading the specs and the reviews I was really excited about purchasing this camera. Unfortunately Canon (and other camera manufacturers) are taking a page from the airlines pricing playbook. Charge a basic price and rip you off on the extras. The camera does not come with a cable and the Canon cable is $60!!! The camera handles well and the menus are well organized. The AF is ok but not great for any action applications. For $899 I don't think it is too much to expect a cable to be ...

Everybody raves about the Sony RX100s, but I prefer this camera in several major ways. It feels more substantial when holding it and more solid. It's a little larger which makes carrying it easier and the handling better, and there is a built-in, textured rubber grip. The menu system, for me, is much better. Much more intuitive.
