i just got the Canon G1X III and every time I come close to the view finder or close the housing the rear display switches to the view finder. Where in the settings do I disable this feature?

On using these two features, aren't they looking to achieve the same thing? In any case, pros and cons of using one vs. another? Thanks in advance from you experts!

Hey Guy, tomorrow is the supermoon and I want to do a great picture. I got the canon powershot g1x markii and I know how to make pictures just from the moon, but I want to make a picture with the street or with the nature around, but everytime when I do it the quality is not really exiting, now my question is, do you now a good setting for making a picture like this and tell me how to program my camera. Kind regards and thank you for your help, Jana

Looking to experiment with black and white (monochrome) street photography, hope someone can provide advise on camera settings for the Canon G1x mark 2. I would like to achieve sharp contrast photos.

Hi, I wonder if anyone could give me advice on what the best museum camera would be?  I'd need a large depth of field and would like sharp images, so a sharp lens and good image stabilisation would be a requirement.   A decent zoom would be good too, to at least 70mm (equivalent) but more would be preferred.  I'd also like the camera to give an exposure estimation (i.e. unlike Nikon Coolpix A) with RGB histograms preferably.  Size is not so important if it's good, Viewfinder wold be very nice...

Hello everyone, seeing as I recently lost faith in Ricoh, seeing as first my Ricoh GR was struck by the dust-monster  and the replacement GRII I ordered from amazon came with sensor-dust right out the box, I don't really know if I still trust Ricoh to build a camera that will reliably deliver outstanding images without having to worry about my camera (and I babied my GR, always kept it in a Lowepro AW belt-pouch, never in a pocket...), so now I am looking for another solution to my...

Hi guys! I am a bit of a camera noob having only had "point and shoot" cameras before. I did play around with the settings a bit but nothing that would make me consider myself a seasoned pro, although I am not opposed to learning more. I have recently moved to Africa and have quite a well paid job. As my old camera has now broken and I am going to be here for the forseeable future, I would like to invest in a new camera. Carnival is coming up and I will be travelling the region a bit visiting...

Hi, I am thinking of buying a Rikoh GR II and have some questions for users who have tested it for macro capabilities. I understand it is only good for up to 4 inches. I am also considering a Lumix LX 100 AND A Canon G1x II which have better macro but smaller sensors. I like the Rikoh because it is the only pocket camera that i know of that has a large sensor...these other models are a bit bulky.  I am open for other suggestions! Her are my questions: 1. If I take pictures at the maximum...
