I just got the Olympus OM D10 M2 camera and beginning the path to learning its functions. I wonder how I can change the display on the monitor so that I can see the subject that I am trying to take picture of? The monitor displays the Super Control panel. I pressed the little button on the side of the viewfinder (the boxy icon) but the monitor continues to display the control panel. I couldn't find the 'how to' info on the manual. Need help please. Second question: I pressed the 'OK' button...
Hello, My son is thinking about a replacement for is 6 year old waterproof and shockproof canon d10 underwatercamera. This is the facebookgeneration! He has only known the digital era and is used to phonecam snapshots, snapchat, gopro for movies, iphoto and imovie... This generation uses images faster than we can think of. He has outgrown his d10 and only uses it for stills in saltwater or mud, and even then his gopro (hero, basic model) has taken the place of its d10. As a sailor, it is...
I am thinking about making a trial move to mirrorless and the current pricing on the OM d10 with kit lens and with the extra telephoto lens ($99 deal) fits my budget. How is IQ with these lenses? I know they won't be built like higher end models but I am careful with my gear. Not really interested in primes and no budget for $600+ lens unless I start selling my slr gear. Thanks Greg
I AM IN THE MARKET FOR AN UNDERWATER CAMERA, COMPACT, I HAVE READ THE ROUNDUP AND THEN I SAW THE NIKON COOLPIX AW130, I NEED TO KNOW IF IT CAN USE A 128gb CARD? AND HOW LONG CAN I SHOOT VIDEO UNDERWATER UNTIL THE BATTERY RUNS OUT? THANKS, MIKE P.S. I AM LOOKING TO UPGRADE MY CANON D10, IT WAS A GREAT CAMERA!!
Thank you everyone who participated in answering my questions about "Travel Cameras" Here's what I sorta decided: Last weekend I bought the Sony A6000. Love the weight, the ease in handling. Minuses are: the standard lens has extreme distortion at the widest (28mm, film speak) this was while shooting in RAW. The salesman said that if I shoot in JPEG most of the distortion gets corrected. I also bought the 55-210 - Sony speak. Equivalent is 75mm -300. Great light weight lens. Well not as great...
Can anyone offer suggestion - the lens on my OM D10 appears to have frozen. I turn camera on and back screen contains single sentence, "Check status of a lens," and green battery icon in top left corner . just tried again and message has been replaced with partial menu but screen is black. If I hold camera to my ear I can hear faint electronic whir like maybe a motor trying to operate?? The lens is the Olympus 14-42mm.
Something that really annoys me with my D-90 is the lag from when I trip the shutter and when it takes the picture. When I shot film this was never an issue. I like to shoot available light candids, and this is frustrating when the subject has changed expression during the shutter lag. Is there any way to speed the lag up? The d10 exposure delay is not turned on. The only two other problems are when it just won't shoot at all, and I haven't a clue why that happens - or the focus shifts to the...
