Im wondering if anybody is using Sigma on their apsc. Im specifically looking at the A6300 and 60DN. I thought i remembered the A6000 only being able to use center points or something.  Any restrictions on the newer bodies? Eye AF work? Thx in advance for any info. --"You taught me hate, I'll teach you fear..."

Wondering if anybody has used any of the Yongnuo lenses on the newer Sony apsc bodies. I owned the YN 100mm f2 with Nikon and love the IQ, it would be nice on an A6300.  Im probably buying the Sony soon (A6300) but native Yongnuo options are one advantage when I was looking at EOS M.  --"You taught me hate, I'll teach you fear..."

I am currently not where I can upload images to demonstrate what I'm talking about here. But I have become rather disappointed with the performance of the Sony a6300 recently. I have just started shooting on RAW full time and editing in LightRoom, which is why this is just now standing out to me. I am shooting with the Sony a6300 with the Sigma 30mm f1.4 lense. Recently I took some shots in doors with decent lighting anywhere from f2 - f8. I left my shutter speed at 1/60 sec, and adjusted my...

I’ve been recording recently using my new Sony a6300, and I’m fairly new to the interface. Whenever I hit the record button (despite the mode I am in, Video, Manual, etc) the recording automatically switches from the manual settings over to whatever the video mode has setup (which is not looking great for what I’m recording). Is there some menu feature or something that alters the default video settings (aperture, iso and ss) or makes the current mode’s settings apply, rather than using the...

Hi, i have a a6300 and just bought a used 35mm f1/8 OSS a week ago - first impressions are that this is a great lens! I have, however, and issue: when using AF-C, often as I half-press the shutter, the camera tries to focus and seems to be trying to follow something (even when there’s nothing moving). The issue is that the lens does a brief zoom-in and zoom-out as when, for example in AF-S you press the shutter half way (yes, I know it is a prime). And if I keep the shutter half pressed (in...

I know this is a stupid question but I'm asking because I have the a6000 and I often wonder how good it is compared to other cameras including the a6300 and a6500. I have read what people have said on other threads, which are all really helpful but I wondered if taking a slightly different approach might also be useful? Take it as a game that may be helpful to me in thinking about these cameras and the possibility of upgrading! So if 10 is the perfect aps-c camera you could come up with, and...

Hello, I never used the red eye reduction in the past. I wanted to try how it works on my a6300 so i went into the menu but seems it does not exist. I cannot believe! Can someone confirm the absence of this feature or how to enable it? Update: Found it, my fault!

I'm looking for a new bag for my a6300. My current bag is small and just fits the camera with the sigma 30mm 1.4 and the kit lens. I'm purchasing the 16mm 1.4 this week so need a new bag. I love the look of the peak design 5l sling, it's stylish and doesn't look too much like a camera bag. However, I know Sigma is rumoured to release a 50mm or 60mm 1.4 lens later this year, and I will most probably buy that if it's as good as the 30 and the 16. I don't want to be shopping for an even bigger...

I'm looking for a point and shoot camera for traveling. Some recommendations I read online that's within my budget are the Sony rx-100 and the Canon G9 mark II. I'm currently using a Samsung s7 which takes pretty good pictures under natural lighting. I was wondering if it's worth it to get either one of the cameras mentioned above. Are the quality of the photos a lot better than a smartphones' ? Or should I wait to invest in a more expensive one like the Sony a6300.
