How do you determine what E Mount adapter I need for these lenses to use with my Sony A630? Is there something on the mount that tells you which one to use? I found one when I googled Tamron but it was specifically for the Tamron. I thought, at least someone mentioned to me, that both of the above lenses were an M42 mount? Has anyone found a reasonable M42 mount that works well?
This is my first DSLR with the 18-55mm lens that came with the kit, but in about 3k pictures that I've taken with it so far, I am disappointed by how many of them come out blurry compared to my ancient PowerShot A630... that camera beats this one so much with the autofocus, I don't get it. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or the autofocus is terrible. Much worse in low light obviously, but too much errors in daylight too compared to PowerShot A630. I'm considering a used GF1 with a 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. Sometimes I need to take photos of insects and plant parts for identification, at ranges from 1-5 cm. I got G1x mark2 because it looked like it might be a good replacement for my A630 BUT.....I am completely frustrated and confused with the G1x mark2. It takes beautiful...
I need to replace a Canon PowerShot A620. It's beginning to come apart at the seams, and I figure new cameras probably have better image quality and features. I was originally looking to spend about $200, but now I'm thinking of either spending less on an ultracompact or more on "last year's" enthusiast compact. I have a very mild brand preference for Canon, but I won't let that prevent me from considering other options. Needs: Fits in my pocket. Let's define this as under 1.4" thick. Fits...
