A neatly designed camera that's a good, overall package for someone looking to learn the basics of digital photography, but who isn't too fussed with adjusting things manually. Handy set up of batteries and memory card in one place - Movie function adds an extra dimension, but is difficult to play around with without specific software as it's in AVI format. Problems: On/Off system fails faster than it should due to constant sliding. Shutter lag is incredibly great and has resulted in many ...

Bought aN A 310 for easy carry. It 's a light weigh camera with 7 OZ. Easy to handle. It's a very basic camera without zoom. Battery life is normal after I purchase the rechargeable batteries(2000 ma). Picture quality is above average for this price of the camera. The focus for close up is faster than that of my G3. Produce sharp pictures. Color is rich. So it is a cheap carry around basic camera. Good for travel if your demand is not that high. Problems: It eats lots of conventional ...

Great cam for the n00b to digital cams. However, compared to the other cams that Canon makes this doesnt even deserve the name Canon. Its more like a Kodak than a Canon. Problems: Should have added $50 to the price and put an optical zoom to the cam. 3.2 mp with no optical for $250 CDN... waste of money. The olympus D540 is a better value and has the same image quality.

Sample Images: http://community.webshots.com/user/mansoor78 (Note that the images have been automatically re-adjusted in quality by the hosting site to reduce the file size. The originals are even better in quality) I bought A300's successor A310 which inherits most of its features from A300. I would say that this camera has a sound set of features and offers a very impressive picture quality at its price. If you are on a tight budget, I will recommend this camera otherwise A75 provides some ...

For a novice , this is a great starter! has all the goodies most cameras have and I can keep around for a point and shoot when my needs become more advanced. Canon is a solid company and this is a solid little entry level camera , highly recommed for newbies and for those who just want to take quickies! Problems: no optical zoom. This camera would be rated 5 across the board if it had optical zoom.

The Canon A310 takes great looking pics...however, it is slow to reset between shots and the batteries seems to drain too quickly.

Recently purchased my A310, then run sample photos. Results turned out as expected. First thing noticed was the lack of dials to turn. Nearly all adjustments/changes are made with the omni-selector button on the back. The flash card & battery compartments are in located under one door. In auto mode, the A310 produces sharp pictures, inside & outdoors. The flash is limited to 7 ft, but remember this isn't a big-buck camera. Macro results are very pleasing, with the flash adjusting quite well, ...
