My camera will display previous pictures taken from my memory card, but when switching to "shooting" mode, the display goes black. I am unable to zoom in or out unless in the slideshow mode. It's almost as if my picture and recording modes have been completely disabled. I have switched the batteries and cleared my memory card as well as reset to default to start again and none of these things have worked. Can anyone please help? Thank you so much for yalls time :)

Hello,I just baught this great cheap cmaera, and made great photos with it over the last month. Now I tried to cover the glowing metal cricle around the lens.I did so using cyanoacrylate adhesive (very powerful super glue) by cutting a dark plastic cover that only fit the metal strip around.I did so with very attention to not get neither the glow, nor the plastic cover to touch the lens movable body parts Now the camera can be used to catch photos in crowd, while people will not notice it...

Hi all, After a nasty car accident many years ago when I happened to have a camera with me, I have always carried a film camera in my car. The photos were incredibly useful in refuting the other driver's lies to their insurance company. But having a film camera necessitates changing the film every year or so when it expires. So, recently I began to think about buying a cheap digital. I chose the Canon A1400 because it has a viewfinder and thus avoids the problem of LCD screens and sunny days....
Hi, I'm a new Canon Powershot A1400 owner, it's a lovely camera, I really like it and have already had some great pictures with it, my question is about the batteries that came with it. There were 2xNiMH AA size batteries which I put in, after every shot it displays a message something like "recharging batteries" can't remember the exact words. So my questions are: does the camera have a built in charger? How long should I expect them to last taking maybe 4-5 photos a day? Are they able to...

I just started using my iPhone 5 camera quite a bit nowadays. On my iPhone I'm able to tap on the screen to focus on an image in the background and have the picture focused on that and the other way around. Obviously I'd like to have it a much better quality so if I decide to print it and/or upload it on a site it'll look much better and detailed. I was thinking about some of these:Canon Elph 115 IS (IXUS 132 HS)Canon PowerShot A1400Canon PowerShot A2500 (note they're all Canon because...
I am switching from film to digital and want to take a point and shoot to my beach vacation. I have narrowed my choices down to two cameras: 1. Canon PowerShot A1400 2. Nikon COOLPIX P310 I really lean towards the Nikon, but I have always had a viewfinder on my cameras, and worry that the lack of a viewfinder on the Nikon will frustrate me, especially in bright sun. The Canon camera has a viewfinder. For a modern point and shoot such as the Nikon P310, can one get by without a viewfinder on a...
