Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4
I downloaded Lightroom 4 as an upgrade from Photoshop Elements (PE), and in short, quite liked the results, but was frustrated by the fuss and number of design faults. To start, the horizon correction slider in LR4 is 'just about better than useless'. Which isn't a compliment. I found it very insensitive and spent far too long with my horizon see-sawing backwards and forwards as I tried in vain to get the horizon level. Tried many RAW converters over the years starting with Rawshooter! LR4 is a complete package in itself so you will probably not need to use any other software. I find the lens distortion and perspective control worth its weight in gold. Also the graduated filter control for selective tweaking of under/over exposed areas etc. If you want to nit pick you might want to use Photoshop Elements to tweak an image but I never have.
