Hi, I want some help on choosing the right option on buying lenses with the camera. I want to buy a Sony A7III and I have several lences to choose from. The body only sells for 2300EUR, the body with kit lens 28-70mm 3.5-5.6 sells for 2500EUR and Sony FE 85mm F1.8 is 620EUR. So, I wanted to ask if it is better to buy the camera with the kit lens or the body plus the prime lens. It is all within the price range I can afford, that is 3000EUR. I have some older lenses too, since I have the Sony...

As I don't have a 24 MPs APS-C camera (nor any APS-C recent camera) I can't test myself. Therefore I would like to ask you guys: - Is it correct to assume that lens with let's say 7 P-Mpix (DXOMark score) like the SEL18200, will not make full use of an APS-C 24 MPs sensor, and that the 10 MPs of the crop mode of the A7III will be comparable (when resized properly in post)? Thank in advance for your help. I did some quick and dirty comparisons between A7III in crop mode and my old NEX5N, but...

I never had to think about editing the EXIF in DNGs I shot with my iPhone as all the important information was already populated. But what if I want to edit the EXIF on my original RAW photos from my Sony NEX that I've imported into my iPad Pro? I've not tried it yet, but the best idea I've come up with is to do the EXIF editing on the JPGs and then try to somehow sync the EXIF between the JPG and RAW photos later when I get home, but I've not figured out how to do that yet. I understand that...

Quick question:  I dropped and broke my NEX-5n last year and am looking to replace it with a used body.  KEH has a cheap NEX-C3 in stock - has anyone ever used it with the FDA-EV1S electronic viewfinder?  Thanks! --http://www.pbase.com/hlpgtf

I have a large amount of Pentax gear, including 3 bodies and 8-10 lenses, which I've used for years.  I also now have three Sony e-mount cameras, including the a6000, and 5 e-mount lenses.  I have an adapter to use the Pentax lenses on the Sony cameras, but can't seem to find out anything about using my Sony lenses on the Pentax cameras.  Can it be done?

I’ve been experimenting with my 30mm ish lenses to try a bit of shallow depth of field portraiture. My Camera seems to have very different ideas regards exposure between the lenses I used. In both cases I chose the Apature and Focused the lens manually. The Camera (NEX-5n) picked the shutter speed. EV was left at 0. OM Zukio 35mm F2.8 Via Kiwi OM to E-Mount adaptor. Hi,  I own a few Sony bodies,  Nex5n, A6000 and loved to own a full frame Sony camera body. I thought of A7II and when a 2nd hand A7RII body turned up after  many months of search I bought it. It cost me about US$1,700 and I thought it was good a deal because it was fairly new cos the previous owned many bodies and it hadn't been used very much. I think the decision is  good one because the cheapest 2nd hand A7II will cost me about US$1,080. I need your feedback/advice on these few questions ...

I have just bought a new Sony A7R II and wondering if I need a screen protector? I am a long time canon user and have never had a screen protector on any of my DSLR's and never had a problem but my family members have had NEX-5N and NEX-6 and both of their screen coatings have come off in pieces. So do I need one?  Do you use one? If yes can you recommend one? If no, how is your screen looking after x amount of time?

I recently ordered a Sony a6500 without the kit lens since I have 4 Sony E-mount lenses I've been using with an NEX-5N. When I tried to mount one of my lenses onto the new body, I didn't get that satisfying click that signifies the lens is mounted safely. Exchanged it and the new body came in last evening - tried it this morning with same result - no click. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't it click? The enclosed manual for the camera says that it should. Do I need an adapter? Thanks!

I used very slow memory card and attempted to write full HD 50 fps video and it (no please don't tell me to use another card). I am sure it was because of slow card not data failure. Camera displayed 'data recovery' after about ~30 secs of video and after this pressing playback revealed last still photo taken, not video. Nothing was written on this card ever since. I suppose most of the video is anyway was written to the card and camera just terminated video and removed entries from FAT table...
