I used very slow memory card and attempted to write full HD 50 fps video and it (no please don't tell me to use another card). I am sure it was because of slow card not data failure. Camera displayed 'data recovery' after about ~30 secs of video and after this pressing playback revealed last still photo taken, not video. Nothing was written on this card ever since. I suppose most of the video is anyway was written to the card and camera just terminated video and removed entries from FAT table...

This is a question for everyone holding on a Nex camera, or one of the A5000, or A5100, hoping to get a good update, same small size camera. I went to Best Buy to see if I can convince myself to buy A5100, but no full touch screen. An A6000 and A6300 were on display, but I didn't care for larger size and more brick stile. I would get a 24 Mpx sensor like it's in A5100 and with an updated processor, but A5100 doesn't have full touch screen, the flip screen doesn't tilt down for overhead...

Question: How to find out how many pictures I've taken in the card of X-T2? For example in my Sony NEX-5N, when I press playback it shows 1/200, which means I'm looking at the first picture of 200. In this example the number of pictures taken so far in the card is 200. Previously I owned Nikon and Canon DSLRs, and if I remember correctly they display frame sequence and total frames too. However I cannot see this in X-T2. I've looked through the manual, and could not find a way to display...

Please forgive my ignorance in this subject but I have never found a solid answer. I know that many modern indie film makers or people like me will export their videos at a 2.35:1 or 2.40:1 aspect ratio to help give the "cinematic look" but I want to know why and what it adds to a scene. I have some knowledge of anamorphic lenses and know that they compress a wide image in to a 35mm frame and I guess I understand the reason for those. When I go to the theaters and see a new movie am I seeing...

I just get Canon 400/5.6L for manual telephoto for my NEX-5N. I am now looking for adapter that can control aperture. I don't want to buy metabones or other thirdparty adapter and I want to get Sigma MC-11. If you are using MC-11, can you please give me info on whether the adapter will work with NEX-5N for Canon lens? I do not mind about AF since, I am planning to use it as MF.

Hi Everyone! As you can see - Im new to this forum. Our trusty camera (sony nex 5n) met with some water ..... and now know to our FORMER trusty camera. Anyway - I looked and see that the SONY NEX-5N is no longer available. There seems to be a new series of models. And, Ive looked for an 'EQUIVALENT' camera but can't seem to find a definitive answer. I know that there will not be an exact equivalent. We loved EVERYTHING about that camera - what would you say is the closest to the NEX-5N?

Hello Guys, I have just acquired a second hand NEX-5N with the 18-55. Awesome camera. This is my first foray into the Sony/APSC line of cameras. And I've been very impressed so far. My question is, what are the advantages of acquiring the 16mm/f2.8 VS just shooting with 18mm on my kit lens? Is the difference of the angle of view that vast? And how about if I stop both of them down to the same aperture, say at f5.6 or f8, is there a difference in sharpness? Thank you in advance. :-)

I'm looking for an affordable lens for my Sony Nex 5N. I need it for real estate photography to make the rooms look bigger, and to fit in the photo. I just recently learned that I need a wide angle lens, but am unsure which would be the best for me. I don't know what my options are.  Please help. Thank you :)
