Hi all, after comparing the DP Quattro using the Image comparison tool i was blown away seeing how much the DP is ahead of Nikons D800, Fujis X100T and even Leicas Q regarding Resolution and Details in Low ISO´s. I also know of the limitations the DP does have but am willing to bite the bullet. Now it´s concerning the lens selection. Is the DP2 a good compromise as middle of the pack in focal length ? I somehow tend not to go to the extremes of focal length as i want to use the cam...
In prints to 11x14 - what differences will I see from the DP2 compared to the DP2 Merrill? Don't own either. Am considering buying one after reading so much about the quality. Can live with slow and clumsy as most use would be on tripod - like my 5x7 gear. Just looking at actual image quality. Will I see much difference between these two at this print size?

Good Morning All, Having owned several Sigma cameras from the DP2 onwards, and having tried and sent back two SD1’s because of poor focussing issues even with the 18-35 lens (despite use of the adaptor), I find I still love the quality of the images I took with the SD1 plus 8-16mm lens where accurate focus seems less of an issue in landscapes/cityscapes. DP3Merrill - Strange Noise Reduction Effect in SPP 6.3 New shooter of DP2/3m here. Very happy so far with both cameras - have had the usual pains with the sigma RAW software, but am adjusting to it's workflow. I noticed a strange issue recently however - I've shot some aerial pics with high detail at infinity focus and relatively low contrast. When I first open the images (both RAW and JPEG) - in SPP, the image appears with maximum detail, until the green "render-bar" in the upper right...
Hi, Sorry for my bad english...I just heave read the dp2 quattro manual, but still have a couple questions : 1 the manual mentions that auto iso doesn't work in M mode (well it says it selects the lowest value of auto ISO in M mode), but since the manual is an old version (it doesn't mention in-camera raw editing for example), I wondered if a firmware upgrade might have bring this feature (auto ISO in M mode) ? 2 I might have missed it, but how does the auto ISO works in A mode for example ?...
