Hey all--- I'm hoping someone here can help me decide on which teleconverter to get for my 300 2.8 VR II lens. This lens is new to me and I find it to be absolutely fantastic. I decided on this lens as I wanted a long 'ish' focal length for wildlife photography, but I also wanted the flexibility of being able to handhold my camera when taking shots which is easily done with this lens. I mainly use the lens for photographing larger birds and also animals in Kruger, South Africa. Now I am...

Hi all, I have recently bought a second-hand Pentax K-R. It's a decent enough camera for me, considering my beginner status (I also have a Canon G16 to take around with me). However, I am stuck when it comes to lenses; it seems the mount for the K-R is a 'Pentax KAF2', which is all when and good but I can't ever find any decent lenses with that particular mount that don't cost a fortune. Could anybody point me in the right direction for any possible lens adapter? I would like to get a half...
I consider myself as a hobbyist ever since owning a Powershot A560 when I was 13, 7 years ago. I haven't used my camera for a long time due to school, yet I would still shoot with my phone or a colleague's DSLR during school events. Recently, my phone's rear camera stopped working, and my old camera is now worn out (my brother used the camera for quite a long time), thus I'm looking for a new camera. I like to shoot in low light, thus sensor size is important. DOF also seem to be important....
Ok last question on this issue. I promise ;) After analyzing six years worth of pictures using the 18-200 on my D80, it became very apparent that despite what I "thought" the majority of my shots were taken in the following ranges: 75% between 24-120 mm 65% between 24-70 mm About 90% of the shots above 120 mm were taken at kids sporting events before I owned the 70-200. Everything else I probably could have shot by moving a little closer but didn't because I had the zoom. Additionally, I...

I have a Canon 500D body and the telephoto zoom lens I use is the Canon EF-S 55-250mm 1:4-5.6 IS. This has been adequate so far for my limited use, however this autumn I plan to go on Safari through Kruger National Park in South Africa. It is to be our honeymoon and we'll be spending 8 nights in the park. I have been advised that I would need a more powerful zoom to get more out of the trip (photographically speaking!) The lens I looked at was the Tamron 28-300mm f3.5-6.3 XR DI. This is a...

Hi All, I am going to capture some pictures of the fireworks next week. I am using Nikon D7000 with AF-S 18-105mm VR Kit Lens and Silk F630 tripod and I am beginner in using this camera. Kindly suggest me what type of camera settings need to set for capture fireworks? (ISO, F and A). Thanks, Gokula Krishnan V
