Hello everyone. I've got a K-3 II, and I use it with the grip... but as I am willing to sell the camera and grip, I realized I misplaced the rubber that goes under the camera, where you connect the grip.  I've looked on ebay, amazon, and didn't find any replacement... does anyone know where to buy one?  Thanks a lot!  --Alan SchamberProgress is not possible without deviation from the norm - Frank Zappa

There's currently an offer for Silkypix Developer Studio Pro 7 for $60, while version 8 costs €150. Upgrading from 7 to 8 costs almost as much (€132). I'm not sure what the main improvements are. Is the upgrade worth it? Mainly shooting Pentax K-5 II and K-30 (if it matters). --Love the camera you're with.

All, I've been looking at a couple Pentax on Ebay, from what appear to be decent sellers (in this case, they have a brick storefront, as well as an online presence). This looks like a decent price . The lens is not well identified - can anyone take a stab as to what it might be? This appears to be the same seller . Also, if I am willing to wait for a month, do you think there's any chance the K - 3 / K - 3 II will be coming down in price? Or should I get a K-5 II and spend more on lenses. I'm...

Hello all, I use the K5ii for candid people photography, often fidgety children, once in a while a wedding. Keeper rate with weddings is at 80-90%, with eratically moving children often only at 10%. I love my K5ii for all the known reasons and do not want to switch body or brand. I use screw drive lenses like FA 135, DA 70, DA 40, once also the Tamron 24-70 2.8 (uncorrectable bf/df). Question: would a lens with ultrasonic drive make a substantial difference in AF accuracy and speed, resulting...

Hello,I consider buying the K-S2, primarily for use with the O-GPS1 (Astrotracer mode). In order to make up my mind, it would be really very helpful if there are members that can share their experience or write their advice for the effectiveness of the Astrotracer in K-S2.I am aware of users who are satisfied with the specific functionality in K-3 II, K-30/K-50, or even older models such as K-5 II(s) but no one has yet published samples or expressed a clear opinion for the K-S2 (after the...

My model studio photos when viewed on screen in PS are very clean and smooth. When I down size them to 5X7 at 96 DPI for the internet they loose their smoothness. I am using jpg at the highest quality and rgb. Any tips for downsizing without loss in quality ?

Hi all, since some time I'm looking for an ILC camera and I've narrowed down the choice to three cameras:The Canon 7D, Pentax K-5 II and the Sony A6000. I now these cameras quite differ from each other! What's (do I think) important for me?- Good autofocus and some tracking capabilities- Video features- Nice out-of-the-camera colours in JPEG: I've better things to do than correcting colours of family pictures in post – but setting the exposure manually shouldn't be a problem. And for really...

Hello fellow Pentax bird shooters. I have not posted in a while because I've been tied up with other things. I'd appreciate your advice based on your experience (not test charts) in photographing birds, and specifically BIF. Please note that I have spent several hours searching this forum and others and have seen many examples of what Pentax and other brands can do in the BIF department. However, the pricing on the K3 in particular now is pressing me to consider options and if I'm going to...

Can anyone confirm, deny, or comment on: Any differences in corner/edge sharpness on these lenses when paired with the K5 II vs. the K5 IIs? The background is that I am not satisfied with the AF on my k5 and plan to upgrade to a K5II or K5 IIs now that the prices have come down. The question is, get the k5 IIs for potentially improved corner sharpness on the wide angles or save the cash and just get the K5 II. Anyone notice their corners of their DA 15 sharpen up noticeably with the K5...

Before the digitals came out, I was perfectly happy with my Pentax 645.  Anyway, I just picked up a Pentax K-5 II. I am currently using my 150 mm and 75 mm 645 lenses and a Carl Zeiss 45 mm pancake lens, all with adapters.  All work fine. I want to know does my focal length and field of view change when I use these lenses.  This would change the settings if changes take place.
