I purchased the Pentax ist-D right off the assembly line, so the K20D is a big jump for me. I'm still giddy with all the buttons and features. If you like buttons, this camera is for you. There's the main menu with all the configuration and custom settings which kept me busy for over an hour. Then, there's another menu under the function button for common settings, such as white balance, sensitivity, flash, and drive mode. Somewhat hidden in this menu (under the ok button) is a whole ...

After two weeks, I need to say I'm rather impressed.. It IS an upgrade over my K10D, which I wasn't expecting, actually. The K20D (just like the K10D before it) has lots of little features you wouldn't otherwise expect, which in part may seem minor - but add up to a big difference. Big fan of the multiple exposure settings, and the dust reduction actually seems to work. Problems: Navigating through all the settings is getting a bit more complex as Pentax keeps adding stuff, but it's not much ...

This is a fantastic upgrade from my K100D. I have nothing to complain about thus far so the 5 stars across the board. Those that have never used this camera should not post their review. Problems: None.

I saw this camera in a local reseller. It feel great in hands. Light but very solid too. This was a kit with the 16 to 55mm SMC zoom. Viewer was pretty bright and the autofocus seem silent and very fast contrary to a previews comment. This is why I am posting this comment. Everything, from the lens to the case fell great. I did look for picture on the net and for everything I saw ISO is fair until 1600 and not over. Would probably buy it soon. The price of the kit 1500$ in Canada. Problems: I ...

Another great camera from Pentax. I don't know how you could make better construction than K20D. Weather sealed robust body, solid feel, very ergonomic handling. Honestly, no flaws here. Features. K20D is packed with features, some are extremely useful (shake reduction, wireless flash control, multiexposure, dust alert, AF adjustment, customisable behaviour of front and back wheels and so on) some are more bells and whistles than real features though (LiveView without contrast detect AF for ...

An excellent photographic tool! High resolution makes K20D the best camera for landscape and macro photography. Only FF cameras can surpass the IQ of the K20D but FF cameras cost three times more money and have almost double size. Problems: None so far.

Well, I have this camera from the day it was released. Having the K10D beforehand I was worried that the camera is just too similar. The shutter is quieter. The focus is faster The ergo is slightly improved The metering is much improved The detail is much higher The screen is excelent and adjustable. The sensor reduces Purple fringing and CA The lens choise is ever improving on a Pentax Cameras and they will be even better in the future. A good investment and a great great camera!!!! On a ...

Upgraded from K10D and it was very smart move, it might look like K10D but pentax added lots of new features and improved everything else. Problems: no AF in live view seem rushed since they could use contrast based AF as in p&s series, 6mp 5-10fps or something around that could be nice, current high speed capture is way too low res for most if any use. AF still affected by temperature, slight front focus under tungsten with fast lenses (small DOF) can be problematic and at this level and ...
