Have had a K20D for a couple of weeks and have compared it side by side with my old K10D. Its a significant upgrade in every respect apart from the frame rate. They have also added a surprising amount of new functionality. However this camera majors on Image Quality. Comparing RAW files from both cameras, the K20D is delivering all of its increased resolution and with less noise at high ISO. Amazing. If you care mostly about IQ and print poster size this could just be the best landscape ...

I have used several DSLR´s, Canon EOS 5D, Fujifilm S5pro, Sigma SD14 but the Pentax K20D was the easiest to use. BRGDS A. Ehrenreich

Sweet, sweet camera. Pair it up with some of Pentax's sweet glass such as any of the limited pancake primes or the DA* lenses (or any number of other fine alternatives) and you'll be more than pleased at the images this camera can capture. Resolution is stunning, as is color. The body balances very well. Throw in image stabilization, a cool feature that shows you when you have dust on your sensor and then shakes it off, live view, and a well-sealed body. Whether you have a bag of Pentax ...

I got my K20D pretty much right after it was available. Some people tend to think that you should wait until all the "bugs" are worked out of the firmware. but I was pleasantly surprised at the performance and quality of the camera. It has everything the K10D has plus much, MUCH more. The much improved high ISO noise level was welcomed as well as the lesser improvements such as the missing PC Sync socket and Live View. The image quality of the K20D is much smoother with rich color ...

K20D vs. K10D.........................My K10D is the first DSLR I've owned after using a Pentax Super Program for 25 years. For the most part I have been very satisified with the K10D. I know there are a lot of loyal Pentax owners here who don't like what StaticVision has to say, but I have to agree with him in that, my one great dissapointment with the K10D is the AF system. Unfortunately, when Pentax designed the K20D they used the same (subpar, IMO) AF system that is in the K10D. ...

I loved the K10D, but it had its small problems. The K20D has solved these and added a great sensor as a bonus. Most important is the amazingly accurate AF. First time I had a camera that is this accurate with every lens I own. IQ of the new sensor is great to say the least. JPG processing is much improved for those who like that, and also the in-camera RAW->JPG conversion is great for when I want to process images for my blog when travelling. Live view is not for use with AF (works but not ...

after having used k10d for 1 year (was very happy w/ my "Pam"-tax) I wasn't expecting the improvement to be more than marginal on the k20d. but now I have to say I am impressed, especially about image quality in low light and higher ISO, and focus accuracy when doing snapshots on moving subjects. chapeau Problems: sometimes I find myself shooting in a wrong configuration of settings, due to the large variety of options that you can forget to reset before switch off (sometimes you want to keep ...

Wow. Hyper program is awesome, a joke that the others don't copy it. Despite what others say here who obviously haven't even held it, it's great. Innovation is what this camera is about, not follow the leader. It has so many settings... even the rear LCD can be adjusted for colour or brightness etc. Thankfully there's even room for your nose out to the left (if you're right eyed), ulike the Canon 40D. Problems: None to date.
