Pentax K-01

I buy this camera very cheap, with a pancake lens, well, i like the colors, is a different camera, the same K mount, so I can use all my old K-lenses, obviously no mirror, no prism, but ths same flange focal distance, this is a bad issue for a mirror less, it means, the same space on the box like a SLR, the advantage of the mirrorless is the less size and a flange focal distance wich allow us to use many lenses via adapters, in this case, are very limited to lenses with the same flange focal ...

I picked up a cheap nice used cam and have taken it out over the last few days. It made an interesting comparison after using my DSLR's and my recent 'ben hur' post about mirror less. Interface: Same as all other Pentax cams, so very easy and it is one of those things I enjoy about staying within the family. Handling: Not to bad, I grew up with SLR's, but I did find I missed few shots because my finger wasn't on the shutter button properly. The grip is smaller, but I didnt find it bothersome, ...

I purchased and tested the K-01 along with two standard zooms, the Sigma and Tamron 17-50 f2.8's. I eventually returned the camera and lenses, because it was just too big for a mirrorless, no viewfinder, camera. To me, the K-01 sits in a no-camera-land between DSLRs and Mirrorless ILCs, being VERY close in size to the DSLR as a body and especially when using full size K mount lenses, but without the essential view finder to enabling optimal handling with full size lenses.
