Pentax smc DA 10-17mm F3.5-4.5 ED (IF) Fisheye

Very sharp, great contrast and impressive flare control. But...there are more purple fringing and chromatic aberrations than with my ancient Zenitar 16mm fisheye. However, that can only take a good photo at f8-11, doesn't focus as close as I would like, and it's not fisheye-ish enough for cropped sensor cameras.

I think what I've found most surprising about it is its versatility.  At 17 it's a tack sharp wide angle with great colour; at 10 it opens out to 180" field of view, surprising most people in the foreground when they think they've stepped out of a shot.  There's a slight bend along the edges of the frame throughout that range; it's more pronounced as you near the 10 end, but not as 'fishy' as the name implies.
